This morning, it was overcast and cool. It was kind of nice after the warmer weather we have been having. But it wouldn't last all day as the sun would be coming out. And when the sun comes out, so do the Guests... to the Parks
Gotta love 8 a.m. openings
I know shortly towards the end of August, with more Annual Passholders able to come back to visit the Parks before school starts, I wonder if it will still be this calm for an 8 a.m. opening of if it will be crowded
All appears quiet in this corner of Main Street
But that was a different story last night as we can see the silhouette of a construction worker working on the Main Street corridor
Last week, there were temporary ramps along the curb in front of the construction wall.
But you can see that they have removed them. I wonder if it had anything to do with the possibility of being in the way way of the Parade performers
While everyone heads to Space Mountain, I head to the exit once again.
Guardians of the Galaxy (Original Score) - Tyler Bates
The construction wall has been removed to reveal the entire area
We can see that this area has been pushed outward as the Cast Member backstage wall / curtain has been removed entirely
I like the amount of space this exit now has.
Cast Member still can get backstage by the side doors
Drinking fountains and restrooms
While walking towards Frontierland, I noticed some signs.
I'm ... >.< I'm trying to remember if these signs have always been here since the start of "Legends of Frontierland" or if these are latest decor additions
Jumping to Adventureland, sign placed outside announcing "Adventurers needed!"
A scroll of some of the greatest adventures
Let's see...I recognize
Lord Henry Mystic - Owner of Mystic Manor (Found in Hong Kong Disneyland) and a member of the Society of Explorers and Adventurers
Henry Jones - Now, is this senior (Sean Connery) or junior (Harrison Ford)?
Those are the two names that stick out
But what about Harrison Hightower III?
Some color blocking over at the off-centered window
The next day marks the 45th anniversary of the Haunted Mansion at Disneyland
So you decided to join us today, I see.
Well I hope enjoy your stay...
...permanently!
Sleeping on the job
Freaky! Looks like he's looking right up at me
Oh my gosh! The one with the crown on sees me too
Who could murder a husband with a face like that...
...I guess she can
Why wasn't I invited to the party?
Going our way?
Rails
Rails
Stairs
Those kids to the right of the Peter Pan's Flight wait time sign are very observant
They noticed the Evil Queen on the second floor of Snow White's Scary Adventure, opening the window curtains
Waiting to board the pirate galleon for my trip to Neverland
And off we go!
Wait... I wanted to go to Neverland.
Not Neverland Ranch
....
Oh, that's the entrance to Disneyland
Wheeeee! I'm flying! I'm Flying!
Flying right over the Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage lagoon
That's it boys, work on that track switch
Soon, you'll have to check to make sure it works as it should before filling the lagoon up with water
Whoa, what's that awful aroman?
I gotta get down now as the smell and flying is making me sick
Oh, it's the Tomorrowland Terrace
And the smell was coming from the breakfast selection
*GAG*
Oh look, it's Pumpkin Potts
"It's a Guest, it's a Guest
Sakes alive, well I'll be blessed
With dessert, He'll want tea and my dear, that's fine with me"
Halloween merchandise has begun to appear in the China Closet and at the Disney Showcase
And all my dreams will come true, right?
Ask school kids how many misspelled words are on this shirt and see the blank stares form on their faces
And how many would think it's a trick question and say "One ...Goofy?"
lol
Head out of Disneyland and over to Disney California Adventure
Some work taking place on the outside of the Disney Grand Californian Hotel
Duffy the Disney Bear now has a Series 1 Vinylmation
Sleeping Beauty vinylmation
That will conclude today's pictorial
Thanks for stopping by and checking it out
Feel free to leave a comment
Until Next Time...
Personally, I love the chorizo breakfast burrito at the Tomorrow Land Terrace.
ReplyDeleteI am not much of a breakfast person.
DeleteI never really paid attention to the Tomorrowland Terrace menu during the early mornings when I roam Disneyland.
This particular morning though, while walking between the Nemo construction wall and the Tomorrowland Terrace, I caught a whiff of...scrambled eggs. Turn my head towards the ordering window of Tomorrowland Terrace and noticed the animated board promoting the Storm Trooper souvenir cup with breakfast. Never seen that before and took a picture of it.
Great post, as always. Looking at the adventurers' scroll, Harrison Hightower III is the owner of the Tokyo DisneySea's tower of terror. If you search it on the internet, it has an interesting backstory. He's part of the same elite adventure club (different from this one) as Lord Henry Mystic. Also, Benjamin Gates is from the "National Treasure" movies. A quick search on the other names reveals that there's adventuring in their history. Not sure who "Jonathan Briggs" is though. Probably an imagineer or something. Keep up the good work! :-)
ReplyDeleteThat's a great eye you got there!
