Parking at the Toy Story Parking Lot, received a new parking receipt
The old ones would have you circle the section and isle number. Now, these new ones have you write it down. I guess the theory is more people would notice the blank lines, write the information down, take it with you and when you return, just take out your ticket and walk to your car.
First stop, Disney California Adventure!
Exposed curve section of the construction work for the new entrance
Carthay Circle Theatre taking shape fast
Getting different angle shots as I head to Paradise Pier
In a couple of months, these walls will be down and Guests will be able to go under the sea with Ariel
The wave patterns and the sea shells were highlighted
*above picture altered a bit so that the wall behind the glass can be see
It may be hard to see because of the stain glass, but seems to be some sort of painted overhang in the loading area*picture above altered a bit so that the painting behind the glass can be seen
Another section of the painted overhang
Looking at the water tower for Goofy's Sky School

Looking towards Goofy's Sky School from Silly Symphony Swings
A cloud has taken shape in the sky
Some lush trees have been planted.
Because of the wind, Golden Zephyr was closed so I couldn't go on there to get some air shots
Some touch ups
World of Color's viewing area railings were getting repainted. But it looks like the painters just abandoned their post.
Glimmer and shimmer
Still working on the trim
The support arms underneath the rotunda have now been fully uncovered
The raft has been touched up with some paint again, this time on the white canvas portion
Looking at the Carthay Circle from the runway
As my friend and I were walking around, the crane was actively working, putting this structure together
View of Cars Land from the Blue Sky Cellar patio
Another view of the framework for the Carthay from the Hollywood Pictures Backlot entrance
Blue tarps still on top of the marquee. Must have some leak issues. Also still missing neon. Wonder what is taking so long?
Heading out to Disneyland
- Disneyland -
The graphic tarp has come down due to the winds
There is a lot of traffic here
Replacing some shingles...
Replacing some wood trim...
Blank on this side of Star Tours
But the sign has appeared on the other side
If you look closely, you can see "From the Creative Forces of Disney and George Lucas" right above the Star Tours title
Looks like some texture was added here
The tarps have come down from the Star Trader
Looking at Star Tours's sign from the second level of Innoventions
I wonder how the Star Tours / Star Trader building would have looked like if the brown portion of the roof had been repainted blue too
Inside Innoventions, two new posters for Cars 2 and Pirates of the Caribbean: On Stranger Tides
Riding the monorail, looking at the Carthay Circle Theatre construction
Now looking at Disney California Adventure's construction of their new entrance
Over in Fronteirland, a new building frame has been constructed
Looking down on the structure from the Columbia
Heading out for the day
