What could possibly be happening at the Haunted Mansion for there to be some cool mood lighting?
It appears that there was filming tonight dealing the Haunted Mansion's 40th anniversary and the Disney.com website. Those volunteering for the commercial shoot were lined up on the outside of the Mansion gates. Then one at a time, they would go up on the small stage and get interviewed. They were being asked questions dealing with the Haunted Mansion such as "How old were you the first time you went on it?" and "What is your favorite part?"
