Even though, Hong Kong Disneyland was the main reason of going, my friend RnRCoaster101 and I did other things around the city.
So on this particular day, we went to Disneyland in the late afternoon and stayed to watch "Paint the Night"
At the end of Main Street U.S.A., on the right, we see this stand called Castle View Gifts.
But from this point of view, can you see any Castle?
ha ha
You can kind of see Sleeping Beauty Castle in the distance behind the trees.
But with a name like Castle View, I would come to expect to see a Castle without hunting for it.
I dunno. I just thought it was kind of funny.
Maybe early on, before the trees grew, one could have easily seen the Castle
On the opposite side, we find Flower St Boutique.
As you can see, no flowers here
Iron Man Experience as seen near the Adventureland entrance
Meet Anna and Elsa on the left side of Sleeping Beauty Castle
Walking into Fantasyland
You know what I want to do?
Ride Snow White's Scary Adventure
Let's go
If Fantasyland is anything like Disneyland's Fantasyland, Snow White's Scary Adventure should be just to the left of the Castle courtyard.
Hey wait!
Where's Snow White's Scary Adventure?
Here in Hong Kong Disneyland, there is no Snow White attraction.
The Royal Banquet Hall is in the location that Snow White's Scary Adventure would be if it were in Disneyland
Well, what about Pinocchio's Daring Journey?
Nope, PhilharMagic is where Pinocchio would be located if it were in Disneyland
A new attraction is being built.
It reminds me of something like Pixie Hollow
I love this ride.
RC Racer is so much fun
When the ride is being loaded and unloaded, the handle is in the "OFF" position
But when the ride is in motion, the handle moves to "FAST"
Entering Grizzly Gulch from Mystic Point
A bathhouse is the woman's restroom.
Um... Shouldn't it be the men's?
OOOOOHHHHHHHH!
It's night, and we are about to get ready for Paint the Night.
Sleeping Beauty Castle had this orange glow to it.
It reminded me of a creamsicle
So, Paint the Night was originally a Hong Kong Disneyland exclusive parade, until Disneyland debuted their version for Disneyland60
There are a few noticeable differences between the two versions
No drum with Peter Pan like at Disneyland
More performers throughout the parade
Sleeping Beauty Castle changes colors with Paint the Night
A show stop occurred at this point.
Pretty much the dancers go around, and if you bought one of the wands, you too can "paint" along with the performers.
One of the things I noticed was that at Disneyland (California), there are small headband flashlights that illuminate the dancers and characters.
Here, at Hong Kong Disneyland, there are no headband lights. So pretty much all the performers are dark.
So we have some time left, so we decide to go back to Mystic Point to ride....
...Mystic Manor.
I'm really loving this ride.
Does Albert want to touch the box because there are monkeys depicted on it, touching the jewel?
You better keep your hands, arms, feet, and legs inside the car at all times!
Look at the slits in the organs.
They make it look like mouths of the painted faces
Watch out Albert!
That will conclude Day 2 at Hong Kong Disneyland
Thanks for stopping by and checking it out
