Today is the first day of Halloween Time 2015 at the Disneyland Resort, well, maybe just at Disneyland. Disney California Adventure basically gets nothing.
It's so quiet going into Disney California Adventure
Uh-oh! Look at all this water
It just kept coming and coming
It's a whirlpool
Directing people to go around the water.
A drain lid was pulled up so that the water can drain down
She always reminds me of Maureen O'Hara
A new style popcorn cart in Paradise Pier, next to Mickey's Fun Wheel
The old popcorn cart sits backstage
Radiator Springs Racers was having technical difficulties so it didn't open on time with the Park.
Guest are standing outside of the Fast Pass distribution, waiting.
As you have already heard, the Aladdin show has its last performance on Jan 10, 2016
Aladdin will close and Frozen will open in the Summer of 2016
Disney handled that water situation fast
Halloween Time takes place mainly at Disneyland, since that's where Mickey's Trick or Treat party takes place
Only a few pumpkins are along Main Street due to the projections being used in the windows
Heading to Haunted Mansion Holiday
The candlelit Jack O' Lanterns are missing from the planter
You gotta problem? Punk!
Didn't think so. ha ha ha ha
Glowing eyes for the man eating plant
The gingerbread house this year is a house of cards that teeters back and forth
The Hatbox Ghost remains, but gets a little holiday decor from Jack
AAHHHHH! A devil Hatbox Ghost
What if Disney created a Halloween layover for "The Many Adventures of Winnie the Pooh", but called it "...Winnie the Boo"
That way the kids can go on something Halloween-ish without feeling scared
Frollo walking around Fantasyland
No pumpkin carving this year at the Big Thunder Ranch.
This is the last Halloween season before it closes to make way for the Land of Star Wars
I wish the hub received better Halloween decorations.
I never cared for these pumpkins around the base.
They were all good for the first year, because it was something new for that area.
But now, I wish they could change it up a bit
I am guessing because it's the anniversary date of 9/11
Flags half mast for 9/11
That will conclude today's pictorial
Thanks for stopping by and checking it out
Feel free to leave a comment
Until Next Time...
Thanks for the photo update! I've been wondering how Disneyland would incorporate the 60th anniversary decorations with the annual Halloween decorations. Didn't they have the Mickey's Halloween party in California Adventure for a few years? I didn't go to the parks around Halloween during that time, but it's too bad DCA doesn't get the same seasonal overlay. The people who can't afford park hopper tickets don't get the seasonal decorations and decor (but maybe if they don't want to see Halloween stuff in early September, that's a good thing).
ReplyDeleteI'm kind of sad about Aladdin closing. It was a big Broadway-style show that everyone in the family enjoyed. We took my wife's brother for his first visit to Disneyland resort in over ten years this winter, and the Aladdin show was the thing he enjoyed the most. For the past ten years, that was the one thing we always did when we went to California Adventure. The other potential shows that people mention to replace Aladdin, like Tangled, Mary Poppins, Newsies all sound more appealing to me than Frozen.
