Take A Look - Golden State Giveaway

Back in 1997, Disneyland was starting to transform the parking lot that had been there since 1955 into it's newest theme park, Disney's California Adventure.

One of the first sections closed off was the area was the Cast Member parking. As the Cast Member parking was diminishing, a new parking lot would be opening up for not only Disneyland Cast Members, but also for Disney's California Adventure.  But this parking lot wasn't on Disney property, and Cast Members would now being using shuttles to and from Disneyland/California Adventure and the new Cast Member parking.

The new parking lot for the Cast Members is located on Katella between Harbor and Haster/Anaheim Blvd. It became known as KCML (Katella Cast Member Lot).  Even with the new lot would open; there was a short period of time where Cast Members can still park in what was left in the old parking lot for them before everyone was force to park in KCML.  In order to get Cast Members to start using the new lot built for them, Disney had a giveaway. So on Monday November 10, 1997 to thank the Cast Members who used the new lot, they were given a Golden State Giveaway scratch card.

Cast Members would scratch off the Golden State to reveal a prize won. The prizes included: $1.00 off any Disneyland Resort Cast Member Cafeteria or Character Antenna Ball (which were those tacky rubber heads that looked more like finger puppets); two movie passes; Logo T-Shirt; or a 1lb. See's Candy Gift Certificate.

The tab on the right side could be filled out and placed in a bin to win as well. Although I can't remember if it was for a Grand Prize or if it was for another chance of winning one of the prizes listed above.
