From the Sea to Space

Time for the weekly visit to the Disneyland Resort.  As always, Disney's California Adventure is the first stop.

Last pictorial update, I mentioned that the Orange Stinger will be closing in July. Well, I think it may be closing a lot sooner than that. July 17th might be the last day for the attraction. So you may want to buzzzz on over before then to get one last ride on the bees.

A New Float [SPOILER]

I just happen to have my camera with me as I was walking through the Main Entrance Plaza when I saw something from the corner of my eye that was glowing, with sparking lights. I wondered what it could be. As the glowing spectacle approached the Sun Plaza, I was pleasantly surprised to find that it was the new opening float for Disney's Electrical Parade.

Unfortunately, there was no music to accompany this float. It was being pulled by one of those Disney float buggies. Only two floats were passing through, the new float and Cinderella's Pumpkin Coach float.

A Simpson's Suprise

Talking about The Simpson’s? But Mint, I thought this was all about Disney.

Oh, but it is. Let me explain...

On May 17, 2009 the season final of the Simpson’s, I had a good laugh when I saw yet another Disney reference in their episode. This time it deals with the new Disney • Pixar movie UP.

Word is that the Orange Stinger will close sooner than stated. July 14th seems to be the date being mentioned.

Next week, walls should be going up in front of Golden Dreams. And in June, inside removale should be taking place.

Over in the Small World area, the light towers seem to have the confettii machines for the "Magical" fireworks show
