Getting to the Disneyland Resort and walking through Downtown Disney, it was really quite.
People were around, but scattered and just casually walking towards the Parks.
The entry gates to Disneyland and Disney California Adventure (not pictured) were pretty bare with Guests getting in.
For like a second or two, I was thinking, did I come an hour early? Is this early entry? But when I realized that Disneyland doesn't have Early Entry on Friday, I knew I was on time
The new receptacles where liquid is separated from the cans and bottles
Although new to most, I have encountered these types of receptacle bins in Japan
Waiting for the Park to open.
With about 10 minutes until opening, the crowd is very thin
And then it happens.
Bill Rogers, the voice of Disneyland, opening spiel plays, I am like...
The Park opens and I make my way over to Frontierland
First ride of the day at Disneyland
Of course, this is the first train so they wait until it's filled before they send it.
Yup, got some hand raisers in front of me
Must you block my view?!
Trying again since it was still a walk on
Looks like I lucked out on hand raisers
Nope, there they go. Blocking my view
Looking at the continuing construction of Star Wars Land and the altered river bank
Looking through the wooden fence towards the old Big Thunder Trail
Disneyland Cat can't believe his eyes with all the construction
On to the neighboring park, Disney California Adventure
Because the sneak peek for Alice Through The Looking Glass is playing at the Sunset Showcase Theater, keeping these Mad T Party props is still relevant.
Schmoozies is open this early.
If Disney wants to save money, why not have this open a bit later. I would say like around 11 am or 12pm.
According to the Disneyland Resort app, this location is only open from 8 am to 3 pm.
I think this is a nod to Stan Lee's catch phrase "Excelsior!"
The Zootopia posters are gone and they are back to the usual ones.
Except Turtle Talk With Crush got a new poster
Kind of hard to see it with the glare
The poster outside can be seen inside at the attraction entrance
Back over to Disneyland quickly...
The Autopia FastPass sign has been removed. The FastPass machines should be next.
Empty second floor
Disney just released the announcement that they are cancelling Disney Infinity
As I head out, Disneyland is getting busy
Riding the tram to the Mickey and Friends Parking Structure to check out the Star Wars Land construction
That will conclude today's pictorial
Thanks for stopping by and checking it out
Until Next Time...
They are moving a ton of dirt. It is still a little hard to figure out exactly where the berm will end up. I am also curious to see the start of making the waterfalls and installing the new train track. Thanks as always for th pictures.
