Yes!
Disneyland and Disney California Adventure open up at 8 a.m. today.
Shouldn't be busy getting in.
Walking through Downtown Disney, this set up promoting Captain America Civil War was on display.
Not sure if there will be more or what this set up is exactly
Disneyland
A new Autopia poster appeared in the tunnel
Here is what the previous Autopia poster looked like
First stop was Autopia!
The new Autopia presented by Honda sign
The grandstand got a new paint job
The Wonderful World of Disney
The Wonderful World of Tomorrow
Magic Highway USA
The last segment of the episode is played on the Autopia electronic billboard
The segment stated starts at 39:28
Inside the Autopia circular shaft, the episode is also displayed in the three windows.
Gone are the Chevron animated car segments
With a new sponsor comes a new Official Driver License for Autopia
New Autopia cars displaying the Honda logo mixed in with the Chevron style cars
At this time Autopia went down due to technical difficulties.
Something happened with the removable track piece that allows the Cast Member to pull off cars.
So they had to get their maintenance guys to come out.
Not many people were in the queue so they gave everyone a readmission pass.
Only 8 cars had Guests and they were able to make it to the end and got evacuated off.
With Autopia down, I decided to continue on.
Onward to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad!
Look at how excited they are at the notion that Star Wars Land is coming to Disneyland
I touched something sticky while on my way towards Hungry Bear restaurant.
Not really paying attention, I almost ran into this little setup
I guess since the fence doesn't continue to the rocks, they have this set up to act as a barricade
Bulldozers and dump trucks
Green colored sticks have been added
Last week it was pink and yellow
A view of Big Thunder Trail
Autopia should be up and running again
So I shall head back
Thought about using my readmission pass, but there wasn't much of a line so I decided to just wait it out.
This is the track piece I had mentioned earlier.
I am not exactly sure what happened, but from where I was in the queue, a couple Cast Members were huddled around it before claiming the attraction was down
New light posts
Hey!
What happened to the Phase One signs that were displayed earlier?
I hope they weren't stolen
Kool-Aid Red
Icee Blue
Even Honda has the power of dreams
Off roading in my Autopia car
Pretty much it's the same ride as before.
Retro style postcard
So, what did you think of the refurbished Autopia presented by Honda?
Two vehicle design Autopia driver license
This sign should be removed any day now, along with the FastPass machines
Well, well.
Look like Mr. Glass Elephant has returned
This elephant use to be displayed at the Penny Arcade
Hopefully there's no earthquake.
Gonna go on my stair master, aka Tarzan Treehouse
Yup! Can see the Mickey and Friends Parking Structure from here
Looking out towards Big Thunder and Star Wars Land
Crowds are pouring in
Taking a closer look at Donald and his jughead hat at the button details
More "art" displayed at the Meet and Greet for Captain America and Spider-Man
The bag checks are now performed by the Disneyland Resort Security.
Now it's time to climb to the top of the Mickey and Friends Parking Structure to see the progress of Star Wars Land
What have we done?
That will conclude today's pictorial
Thanks for stopping by and checking it out
Feel free to leave a comment.
Until Next Time...
Thanks for the pictures! I look forward to them every Friday.
ReplyDeleteYou're welcome.
DeleteI am glad I can bring some joy to your Fridays
Wow they butted right up to the chalet. I wonder why they don't demolish it. It looks like from one of your pictures those blue buildings on the right are getting demolished. Are they they the only buildings that remain on your way to Critter Country?
ReplyDeleteThere is / was a service road behind the Skyway, so maybe because it isn't "connected" with the construction site, they have no need to touch it at the moment.
DeleteEven though it is hidden behind the trees and it isn't being used, I am happy that it's still there.
Although I don't know how I would feel if it was demolished. But I can wait to find that out.
I kind of wonder if it will somehow be incorporated into the new Fantasyland once it is built, however it does seem pretty far away from the rumored area.
