With the Parks opening at 9 a.m, sleeping in a bit sounds wonderful.
Should have to my inner body clock to hit the snooze button.
I was up early, yet took my time getting ready to head to the Parks.
I leave and get there about 8:40 a.m.
And I get to this...
Holy Freakin' Sheesh!
It would be another 5 minutes before they open up the Main Gates
Although Disney California Adventure had their gates open (as they had Early Entry), there was a bit of a demand for that Park
I get into Disneyland at 9:05 am.
5 minutes after the Park opens... not too bad.
Where is everyone?
Where are all those people that were waiting with me outside the Main Gate?
Frontierland is quiet.
I am guessing that a majority of them went to Tomrrowland / Fantasyland
First stop, Big Thunder to check out the construction for Star Wars Land
Look at all the vehicles
You can see all the way to the Team Disney of Anahim Parking Structure (what the Toon Town hills are covering)
"Oh no, not you again."
Splash Mountain looks pretty at this time of day
More wooden stakes in the ground
Wonder if this is meant for the River boat rail
Looks like a bit of a ditch there
Splash Mountain was sending logs throughout the attraction, as it wasn't quite ready to open yet
Signs, Signs, and more signs
Word is that the Matterhorn will be getting FastPass.
After 17 years since their debut, the last E Ticket among the Mountain Range is getting in on the act.
Only a couple kiosks will be installed for FastPass.
One will also be able to use their mobile device too.
The test Space Mountain did a while back with the scanning of the FastPass tickets, Matterhorn will be doing it.
Not sure if you had heard or seen, but a short time ago Space Mountain was doing a test with their FastPass by scanning tickets.
Continuing on...
A new parting sign has been placed at Autopia
Now all it needs is the new Autopia sign
The crowds don't look to heavy as I head out to Disney California Adventure
Muppet Vision 3D - Royal Crown Theater - Sunset Showcase Theater
The line to meet Captain America and Spider-Man
The Kellogg's truck has been removed
Grizzly River Run was down for refurbishment back in Feb - March.
What's it doing being down again in April?
Was the plan to get started on the first part of refurbishment, open up for Spring Break crowds, and then go back down for refurbishment to finish?
Possibly
The Redwood Creek wasn't open just yet when I walked by.
The Wilderness Explorer sign (from UP) has been removed
Pictures of Doug and Russell have been taken down
For a moment I thought the guy was standing up while on the electric convenience vehicle
This must be Disney's version of a Segway.
I had heard about Disney creating their own version of a Segway to use throughout the Resort.
"Pic or it didn't happen" would have been the response if I had mentioned it when I found out about it.
Over time, I had forgotten about it.
But then I finally saw one and had to quickly take a picture
Disney Fantasy Cruise ship model in the Grand Californian Hotel
Pirate merchandise
Ariel must be the inspiration for this Siren
She's looking very provocative
And now to the top of the Mickey and Friend's Parking Structure to check out the construction of Star Wars Land
Something's missing.
Isn't this where Mike Fink's cabin was?
Looks like the land has been removed or something.
This slope ....
I hope this isn't where the end of the Island will be for the boats to go around it
You can see the old Mine Train Through Nature's Wonderland train track there in the shadows
That will conclude today's pictorial
Thanks for stopping by and checking it out

Until Next Time...
