Getting a 20 minute late start today as I had to wait for a friend to arrive at the Parks.
Yikes!
Starting off a different path today.
This time, I decide to go towards Hollywood Land
Walking by the Animation Building, they are promoting Zootopia
Zootopia themed posters outside the Animation Building
Decide to go inside to see there is anything else for Zootopia
Not long after I get inside ...
Zootopia segment in the Animation Lobby loop
Red was at the Cozy Cone Motel taking pictures
Bacon and Cheddar popcorn?!?
I can already taste the bacon
Tow Mater behind Ramone's House of Body and Paint shop
Heading towards the Fun Wheel
A dry river today
At the time I walked by, Soarin' wasn't open for Guests.
Not sure if it opened today for Guests or not. I forgot to check the Disneyland App
Heading to Disneyland
It's 9:30 am and there are still a lot of Guests waiting to get inside Disneyland
Love is still in the air on Main Street USA
Nothing really going on here.
Earlier in the week, someone posted a photo on twitter of a child on the wooden boxes, and another one on top of the platform.
So I just took these, just in case Disney 1) removes the boxes 2) removes the guns
Speaking of guns...
I was never good at my aim with these guns.
So I'll just watch the pros do it.
Trees being removed to make way for the rerouting of the Disneyland Railroad along the river
Over at Fowler's Harbor, I was admiring the Sailing Ship Columbia when this catches my eye
It's a binnacle compass
Big Thunder Trail and the Big Thunder Ranch Jamboree stage
White butterflies were all over the Storybook Land floral
It's nice of Disney to let Guests know that the Storybook Lnad Canal Boats will close temporarily for the parades
Mickey's ToonTown is getting some loving care
Save the fish!
Don't just take pictures, save them!
Autopia's refurbishment continues
Everybody's talking about my tight pants
I got my tight pants
I got my tight pants on
People wouldn't lie about my tight pants
I got my tight pants
I got my tight pants on
I can swing my arms
I can shake my hips
I can down the dance down the block
And I can be the only chick that's wearing tight pants
And I'm the only one
please note - the "B" word is mentioned once in this segment
The Kalamazoo is now placed next to the train
This is the components that make up the whistle
Toot!
Toot!
Look at the heft crowd, waiting for the Hungry Bear Restaurant to open up
While others are heading to order their food, I have another agenda
Looking through the tarps at the River bank
The Disneyland60 emblem and decor have returned to Main Street
Although this one could use a little work at being straightened out
The 20th Century Music store reopened last week
Another register has been placed against the wall where the book stand once was.
Will the book stand come back?
Not sure.
Heading out of Disneyland and ride the Disneyland Tram to the Mickey and Friends parking structure
Circle D has been completely demolished.
The whole area is starting to get leveled for Star Wars Land
Following the arrow towards the exit
That will conclude today's pictorial
Thanks for stopping by and checking it out
Feel free to leave a comment
Until Next Time....
Thanks for sharing your pictures with everyone. They look great. I'm glad you had a chance to get some nice construction photos too, I've always enjoyed checking them out. Awesome work as always:)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the photos. What's pictured here:

The only thing I remember looking anything like this was Fort Wilderness, but it can't be that.
I had a reason to take those photos. But when it came up to writing the blog, I somehow totally skipped over those.
DeleteBut, I wrote an explanation underneath the picture to let you and the readers know the reason I took those photos
Thanks for catching that for me. :)
But where is it? I still can't place it. Thanks!
DeleteIf it's not Fort Wilderness, it must be the fort-like structure at the entrance to Frontierland from the Hub.
DeleteThe clue for me is the flags displayed at the top of the wall in the previous photo.
Take a look at this post from My Year with The Mouse, about the entrance to Frontierland: https://myyearwiththemouse.com/2011/03/03/the-northish-side-of-frontierland/
And this image is of the inside of the fort wall with the flags, with a pretzel cart in front of it: https://myyearwiththemouse.files.wordpress.com/2011/08/frontierlandsouth-3.jpg
The image is taken from this post: https://myyearwiththemouse.com/2011/08/01/south-side-frontierland/
Aha, that must be it! Thanks! I'll have to look at the area more carefully next time I'm in the park.
DeleteSorry for the late response. But like it's already been mentioned, it's the backside to the entrance of Frontierland. If you were standing at the Frontierland flag pole, the first picture would be as though you are looking to your right (where the ATM would be) and the second picture would be as if you were looking to the left.
DeleteI've never seen the skit from The Tonight Show, but I enjoyed watching the clip, especially in the context of the photos you took of the Star Wars/Jedi show.
ReplyDeleteI feel bad for the performer, though. I would imagine that Disney doesn't give the performer much choice in whether or not to wear tight pants. Imagine if the male Jedi performers were forced to wear tight pants (or men in general typically wore pants like that).
The first time I watched the Jedi Training Trials of the Temple, I overheard several people around me whisper about the performers tight pants.
DeleteSkip ahead to about a week ago, I go to YouTube's website and under the "Watch It Again", I saw the Jimmy Fallon Tonight Show Tight Pants. After watching it a couple times, my mind started to wander and one of the things that came to mind was the Jedi Training performer.
