Now the Archives Appears at Day One and Three Albums.
Thank you for the photo tour of the Disney Archives exhibit. If I had decided to go to D23, this was the one thing that almost convinced me to go.
ReplyDeleteThere was a similar exhibit, but focused on Disney animation, movies, and theme parks and not just Disneyland a couple years back at the Reagan Presidential Library. The things that most impressed me the most were Disney's hand-annotated script for the welcome plaques over the tunnels, and the original Herb Ryman concept map of Disneyland.
Also a couple of years ago, the LA County Fair had an animation exhibit that included a ride vehicle from Mr. Toad. I believe they were on loan from Disney, but was surprised that people (mostly kids) were allowed to get into the car to have their photos taken.
I was wondering, couldn't you get a press pass to cover events like this? It seems like several other bloggers and Disneyland web sites attended press previews at D23 Expo.
Thanks for enjoying the pictures.
DeleteOh yeah, I remember that Walt Disney exhibit at the Reagan Library. But I never made it up there to see it.
As far as a press pass for D23, I'm afraid to say.... I was denied. (Wha-whah). But no hard feelings towards them. Ha ha
