Another June Gloom morning while visiting the Disneyland Resort.
Can't wait for clear and sunny skies
While walking past the Downtown Disney Monorail station, I noticed a new electronic scrolling marquee for the Disneyland 60 Diamond Days word of the day.
I wonder if this is the only one or if the security tents have them too.
Nope, it's the standard ones
With my ticket in hand, making my way into Disney California Adventure
As I normally travel to the Disneyland Resort by myself, today I brought a little friend with me.
He'll be making some cameo appearances in several shots.
Walking down Buena Vista Street
Lil Stitch wanted to get a shot with the Storytellers Statue.
I couldn't resist taking a snapshot of him
Reserved seating?
For who?
Lucky
California Screamin' photo op
Riding Mickey's Fun Wheel...
Looking over at Luigi's Flying Tires refurbishment
The green fence you see in the background is the pathway that Disney uses to usher in the Grad Nite kids.
And yes, Grad Nite is still taking place.
I can't wait for it to finish this year.
As the day progresses, so do the number of kids roaming the Parks
Tough To Be A Bug being refurbished to premiere a sneak peek of Ant Man
"Why must they keep closing my theater for their previews!"
Now it's time for Disneyland
Over at the Haunted Mansion, a new marquee was installed.
With this installation, does this mean that FastPass will be permanent for the attraction throughout the year (instead of just the Holiday version)
Stitch got his FastPass so he can see the new Hatbox Ghost
Because of a mist, the Haunted Mansion umbrella was in the up position, so I couldn't get a straight on shot of the marquee
Lil Stitch though the Hatbox Ghost was great!
Eerie exit
Chooo-choo
Sleeping Beauty Castle was "sparkling" with the help of the LED lights
Lil Stitch wanted a picture with the Castle in the background
Lil Stitch wanted a clear non-intrusive shot of him inside the Toad car, but with the strollers and a wheelchair around, it prevented that from happening. He didn't want it any other way
Oh well, will have to try again another day.
Brown pants?
Is that the new look for the Male Cast Members working the Matterhorn?
I looked at the station and saw all the other male cast member with the olive green pants.
Maybe the brown just indicated he's just Guest Control (??) I dunno.
The Tomorrowland Theater is now closed.
I guess awaiting for the next movie preview
The Tomorrowland movie exhibit is also closed
I wonder how many of these people will wait this length in line to meet a character for just a few seconds, but won't wait this same amount in line for a ride, which lasts a lot longer than just a few seconds.
Ha Ha
Looking at the Innoventions building
The Innoventions sign has been removed from the spire
The Tomorrowland decal has also been removed from the Disneyland Monorail
Lil Stitch likes watching the Autopia cars travel by, but he would so want to drive one.
But he knows he's too small to drive one by himself
To cheer him up, I take him to the Enchanted Tiki Room.
Lil Stitch trying his best to pose just like Pele, Goddess of Fire and Volcanoes
He LOVES the Enchanted Tiki Room
Listening to some live Jazz in New Orleans Square
Whoa!
What's this good size crowd doing in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle?
Oh, they are enjoying the Disneyland Band play music with the Disney Characters
Mickey and the Disneyland Band make their way down Main Street U.S.A.
Pausing in the center of Main Street
Here they pause in front of the Disneyland Main Street Depot
As the Disneyland Band makes their way backstage,
I head home
That will conclude today's pictorial
Thanks for stopping by and checking it out
Feel free to leave a comment
Until Next Time..
I really enjoy your posts.....thanks for sharing. Looks like Stitch had a great time.
ReplyDeleteGreat post. Stitch was fun!
ReplyDeleteDo you buy a one-day ticket every time you go? I would have thought you had an annual pass.
Too bad the band wont be around past this week...
ReplyDeleteHope this is the last we see of "Lil Stitch" or any of his friends.. a cute idea that was sort of overdone and then started to become boring. But I LOVE your hi-res photos.
