Sorry for the delay in this weeks Disneyland Resort pictorial
An out-of-town friend came to visit (and no, it wasn't Stitch like last week) and so I was focused on spending time with him, which made me miss my Disneyland Resort Friday trip
And yes, we went to the Disneyland Resort while he was here.
Let's start our day
Got our Disneyland60 ticket for the day
Signs indicating that Disney California Adventure will be closing at 9 p.m.
I am guessing it's gonna be a mad house around that time as even more people may try to get into Disneyland to catch the fireworks
- Mickey's Fun Wheel -
Taking a loot at Luigi's Flying Tires refurbishment
Over at the "it's tough to be a bug" theater, the sneak peek of Disney / Marvel's release of Ant-Man is taking place for a limited time
Look at all those ants crawling on the hill
The Ant-Man suit
Wouldn't it have been funny if the glass case housed the Ant-Man suit in ant size?
Then you would look at the suit through a magnifying glass located at the base.
How funny to see everyone on their hands and/or knees on the floor
Disneyland time....
Tomorrowland Movie still advertised and visible at the Magic Eye Theater, even though it's closed
Love Space Mountain's zooming lighting effect in the station
In this cartoon version, the goat gets to ride the train.
Would he do a "The Human Trick"?
Hidden Mickey cactus, just like at the attraction
The Disneyland Band boarding the Mark Twain
It's Belle!
Belle!
....
Belle!
....
BELLE!!!
Hey kids, wait.
That's not Belle!
2 omnibuses and a bike
Quack
Quack
The Disneyland Band coming out for another performance
Who's the leader of the club that's made for you and me
Jazz hands!
Embrace the music from the Disneyland Band
I think these new band members need to practice a bit more
kidding!
kidding!
They are all great
The Disney characters heading backstage
The Disneyland Band stops in the middle of Main Street
Mickey Mouse interacting with the crowd
Heading back to Disney California Adventure because we got a FastPass for Radiator Springs Racers
The misters in the queue were on.
I wonder if this would be considered wasting water
Or keeping people cool in the sun so they don't faint
Time to cool down by visiting Arendelle
What could Anna be referring to??
Here's my sister, the Queen of Arendelle....
Marilyn Monroe...
I mean, Queen Elsa
Arendelle's Honorable Royal Historian sure is impressed with Anna
New Coke Life, made with cane sugar
For Hollywood Land, the themed rope flags depict the Red Car Trolley
With the release of Inside Out, there is a pre-parade float for the animated movie
I loved this float.
So colorful and musical
Too bad Inside Out couldn't have a real float for Pixar Play Parade.
Joy would be great at getting everyone to play along
That will conclude today's pictorial
Thanks for stopping by and checking it out
Feel free to leave a comment
Until Next Time...
The parks are looking great. I love the humor in your comments on the woman dressed as Belle, and the physical appearance of Elsa in the Frozen stage show.
ReplyDeleteI noticed that you tend to stay for not more than a few hours, starting around park opening. Have you seen the new nighttime shows, like Paint the Night and the new fireworks show? How many rides or shows do you typically ride or see during a visit to take photos for this blog? Do you dislike the parks when they start to get crowded?
I had a pass for about a year, in 2013-14. I liked to take a lot of photos, but I would stay for at last five or six hours, and see shows and ride my favorite rides. Then again, I only visited maybe 6-8 times that year with my pass.
Thanks for checking out the pictures :)
DeleteTo put my blog together takes quite a bit of time. And so in order to take the pictures and put them on my blog in the same day, I have to get to the Parks as early as I can. And so I make it a goal to get to either Park before it officially opens for the day.
I have been to the Parks at night and have seen most of the night time entertainment. I saw "most" because I haven't seen the latest version of World of Color. I think the last time I actually watched World of Color was when ... Tron 2 came out. ...Or was it when Pirates 4 came out. It's been a while with that. ha ha. As for the Paint the Night and Disneyland Forever, I have seen them a couple of times already. And after giving them a chance, I come to the conclusion that I don't really care for them, so it's something I can easily skip. If I was with someone, and they wanted to watch either of them, then I would watch it too.
I can tolerate crowds to a certain point. When I am doing my pictures, I am on a mission. And I don't want anything to slow me down while I am trying to complete my mission. It's pretty much just get in there, get what I need, and then get out. And because of that, I tend to go alone. Now, every once in a while I do get the urge to ride something that wasn't planned. That's always fun. I like to have fun. :)
Thanks so much for the explanation. I can imagine that it takes most of a day to organize, upload, and lay out the photos. Thank you for providing a service for people like me who like Disneyland but don't have the time or money to visit so often.
DeleteI've been reading another Disneyland page for several years, and came across yours by accident a couple of months ago. I wish I had found the Mint Crocodile blog a few years ago. For some of us, one just can't get enough Disneyland, even vicariously.
You can sure see why Disney usually restricts adults from wearing costumes. The lack of that Disney performer posture, wig and make up makes faux Belle look like a meth addict who broke into the cast member locker room.
