This week has been quite busy, so I was out of my normal routine. Because I didn't know if, and when, I would get to visit the Disneyland Resort, I pretty much went when I could in the late afternoon.
Granted the main thing taking place is the refurbishment over at Alice in Wonderland since it will be opening soon.
June 25, 2014:
Walt Disney Imagineering was at Alice in Wonderland
WDI with Disney Cast Members were riding the attraction looking at show elements and other important things
You jealous?
June 26, 2014:
Riding the monorail to see what has been done to the vine
For the most part, it appears that they painted a darker green color around the bus bar.
It does add a pop of color to the vine
Do you see anything different with the doors leading outside?
They used to have Cards trying to prevent you from escaping the Queen of Hearts.
It doesn't look like the Cards are returning.
Instead it is a swirl.
I wonder what kind of effects, if any, will be presented in this scene
A closer look at the swirls along the edge of the vine
Another look at the doors leading to the vine
WDI Larry Nikolai is the only person I recognize riding the caterpillar
Video of caterpillars traveling along the vine during refurbishment
Checking out New Orleans Square.
As I stand by the patio of the Riverbelle Terrace, I am looking up towards the sails of the ship
Before one could see the sails to give the illusion that there was a harbor just on the other side of the city.
But with the new additions to the rooftops, it appears that the sails and the effect are getting lost
June 28, 2014:
Getting to the Disneyland Resort early just after opening.
Stopping by Disney California Adventure first
The billboard in Condor Flats once again has the Planes theme to it, this time with Planes 2 since it will be in theaters
Over at the Pacific Wharf, some new decorations dealing with sea life appeared to enhance the show
Long Johns and waders hang on a clothes line to dry
Fishing nets and large wooden fishing bobbers hang
Lobster crates
Red Car Trolley making its way down to Carthay Circle
Not much taking place at Disney California Adventure, so I didn't spend a lot of time there.
It's now time to head to Disneyland
Crowd wise, it wasn't too bad. But that will change in the next hour
Gonna get some more exercise by climbing the stairs at Tarzan's Treehouse
Again, looking at the rooftops of New Orleans Square
Over at Alice in Wonderland...
The crazy curls have been painted
Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage
Another look at the vine.
We can see some leaves wrapping around some of the support posts
Quite a number of peeps have been wrapped up.
Why are Captain EO posters still at the entrance queue.
I wonder what's going on with the walls over at the Space Mountain exit
Wait... PAUSE
Stromboli just like my selfie
What a creep!
...
Oh my god!
Stromboli just texted me.
I guess I take a good selfie
The West Side exit gates have reopened after a short refurbishment
As I walk through Downtown Disney to head home, I see a big screen t.v. broadcasting the World Cup
That will conclude today's pictorial
Thanks for stopping by and checking it out

Until Next Time...
I just assumed that the wrapped up props in the lagoon were the same props as before, just wrapped up to protect them from the painting. Though I could be wrong.
ReplyDeleteI also loved that "Jealous?" caption.
