The Disneyland Resort is starting to become busy with the yearly Summer crowds.
I am guessing because there was a Grad-Nite the evening before at Disney California Adventure is the reason for both Disney California Adventure and Disneyland opening at 9 a.m.
Mon - Thurs, they had been opening at 8 a.m.
But then again, there was a Grad-Nite on Wednesday evening at DCA and yet the Park still opened at 8 a.m. the following day.
With the Parks opening at 9 a.m., it gave me an extra hour to sleep in. ha ha
Walking to the Disneyland Resort, made it just before the 9 a.m. opening hour.
Heading inside Disney California Adventure first
I thought I would stop in here to see if they still sold any merchandise from the movie Planes
Some themed merchandise to Soarin'.
Although possibly not Park specific since these items could technically be sold in EPCOT as the merchandise doesn't state "Over California".
And in the far corner, some Planes merchandise (half pictured)
Speaking of Planes, when Planes 2 comes out, I wonder if this billboard once again depict characters from the film
2 believe
But the other seagulls still have their doubt about walking on water
Soon the sneak peek will fall into a sleep from which it will never return
A set up queue to meet Mickey.
As I rode the Disneyland Monorail, I saw Pluto and Goofy here as well.
Marvel merchandise
I know Spider Man is part of Marvel, but I never really cared for him
Walking into Disneyland
A little crowded on Main Street U.S.A.
Decided to go on Big Thunder Mountain Railroad since it was a 5 minute wait.
Hopefully no one smokes in the queue
Some new signs at the top of the stairs in the loading station.
It's all about Lantern Safety
The mother (?) goose started to charge forward, making sure no one stood in the path of the younger ones, as they made their way up the walkway
CHOO CHOOOOOooooooo
Over in New Orleans Square
I scanned the QR code and it took me to this site
Karma Incarnate - Bringing Karma To Life
No New Orleans style decor of the witch doctor on the second floor at the moment.
Hmmm..I wonder if it will return once they finish with this side of the building or if it's gone for good.
Although it did bring a sense of life to that backside area near the restrooms, I kind of like how it's all clean and not overdone will voodoo props.
June 6, 1959 marks the 55th anniversary of the Submarine Voyage
Work continues over at Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage
Workers can be seen in the dry lagoon
As the Disneyland Monorail passes Alice in Wonderland, we see the progress that has been made on and around the vine
I had to ride the Disneyland Monorail twice so I could get shots from both sides
Luckily on the second trip I had the cabin all to myself!
Happy 55th anniversary!
Unlike "it's a small world" when it celebrated it's 50th anniversary in April, Disneyland can't just refill the lagoon and allow Guests to visit the world of Finding Nemo.
For that, they may have to wait until September, possibly October for that to happen
Another shot of the vine
The top two rings are glistening in the sunlight
Disneyland / Walt Disney World attraction posters are now on mugs
Trash cans have been placed in front of the Main Street Lockers
Stairs
I'm not evil. Just ...misunderstood. ha ha
As I walk out of Downtown Disney, advertisements for Planes 2 are in place at the AMC 12 theater
That will conclude today's pictorial
Thanks for stopping by and checking it out
