With Easter taking place the previous Sunday, that didn't stop from the huge crowds the Disneyland Resort received during the week,
Disney California Adventure and Disneyland had extended their operation by one hour. I thought it was kind of silly for Disney California Adventure to be closing at 8 p.m. anyways. I mean, the week before and the week following Easter were typically the "Spring Break" time. So why Disney decided to schedule the Parks to close earlier seemed silly.
Today the Parks opened at 9 a.m. and as we head into Disney California Adventure. the demand getting into the Park isn't that high ... for right now.
Looking over at Disneyland, even they have little demand at the moment.
Walking down Buena Vista Street
The Red Car Trolley positioned just outside Elias and Company. When the Park opens, the trolley will head down Buena Vista Street
Look at all those people
Disney California Adventure has just opened up. I am not gonna go into that crowd, so I will head off toward Condor Flats
Grizzly River Run closed for refurbishment
The paint job over at the Pacific Wharf is coming along nicely
While the outside of the Bakery Tour is getting repainted, the "attraction" is still open for your enjoyment
Finally the Redwood Creek Challenge Trail is open
A ... scream shield, so as not to wake the neighbors at the Grand Californian Hotel? ha ha ;)
Can easily see the backside of The Little Mermaid attraction building
Oops, looks like you can't go across this bridge
Looks like you can't go up this netting walkway
Dad: "What does the Fox say?"
Younger Son: "That's not a fox dad, that's a bear"
Teenage Son: "That's not a bear. It looks more like a wolf"
Younger Son: "It's a bear. As in a grizzly bear"
Dad: "Then what does the bear say?"
Boring!
I love it when they have colorful flowers in here
Kingsweel Camera Shop presented by Nikon
Some old school graphic plates
Trash can salt and pepper shakers
They all look delicious
Although not a trolley, I do love that metal train decoration piece
Disneyland time...
Was someone under the influence while laying down the tape?
Good thing tape is temporary
Young man, can you point me in the direc.... oh, ummm....
Work continues on the rooftops of New Orleans Square
While walking down the stairs, I noticed the blinds were gone
Then I see that they have just been rolled up.
This is the view you get when you look down
Behind those tree branches is the dock to the Jungle Cruise
Some nicely themed Frontierland merchandise
Saw these Civil War hats. I so need to get me one
At the Adventureland Bazaar, Cast Members and Guests alike were hovering around this table.
What was all the commotion?
Oh...Adventureland and Tiki style merchandise
As much attention as this table was getting, maybe this will lead to the other lands getting more specific themed land merchandise
Over at Alice in Wonderland, visible work is starting on the Vine
"it's a small world" closed again, after the 50th anniversary "celebration", to finish up the refurbishment
Speaking of refurbishment... in Toon Town, the fountains and Gadget's Go Coaster was down for a refurb
Innoventions hadn't opened yet, and there was already a line waiting to get inside.
I guess they all wanted to see the "house of the future" ;)
...
Or they could be here to see the Captain America and / or Thor
Riding the Disneyland Monorail to catch a glimpse over the wall of Alice in Wonderland
When I saw this stub, for a brief moment I felt like I was back in the days of the Disneyland Ticket Book days, and looking on the ground, seeing a ticket and getting excited because I would be able to ride another attraction.
I wonder if people dropping their tickets happened a lot back then. Or did people just wait until they got to the attraction before tearing it out of the booklet
In case you were wondering, this was the ticket stub that was on the ground
Heading out as Disneyland is getting busier
That will conclude today's pictorial
Thanks for stopping by and checking it out
Feel free to leave a comment
Until Next Time....
