Wanted to be at the opening for the relaunch of Disney California Adventure. Because I woke up later than I wanted to, there were so many people wanting to get inside the Park
Just switch backs of Guests waiting to get in
Opening ceremony broadcast on giant screens. Although it was hard to hear in the back. ha ha
Someone was handing out IGB Collector Balls with Cars on them. Using this time to promote their own business
Opening ceremony in front of Carthay Circle Theatre
Some fireworks
Look at all these people!
The line stretched out towards the picnic area
Nothing but tape to keep us in line
Chip and Dale
The line snaked all the way back toward the construction wall
Because Guests were able to get through the gates, the line went really fast. So fast that they couldn't keep up with the line. They were able to keep it under control so there wasn't a mad dash
Finally!!!!!!
Buena Vista Street

Later in the day...
Just wanted to say I've looked forward to your posts every week on the progress of the DCA makeover over the last year or so. I'm a little sad it's over but you've done a great job documenting it!
ReplyDelete+1 AppaNMono...I have come here every week since 2010 and I am really sad that the DCA makeover is done, but it has been a great ride. You take without a doubt the best pictures on the whole resort out of every other site I visit. Thanks for all your hard work and everything that you have done. I will always visit this site first like I have the last two years. Thanks again!
ReplyDeleteDitto to what was said above. Thank you mint!!!!!!!!!!! You rock!!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Mint!
ReplyDeleteAmazing photos! Thank you for this great in-depth look at BVS. It looks like a great place to just hang out on.
ReplyDeleteBVS seems like a fancy outdoor shopping mall. I don't know if you've ever been to the Victoria Gardens Mall in Rancho Cucamonga off the 15 freeway, but BVS looks like a fancier version of that.... wish they could of put an E-Ticket Ride in here instead... oh well...
