Carthay Circle Theatre Gets Topped

One could easily tell this was the off season.  It was so quiet at the Disneyland Resort.  It was also hot with the temperature reaching up to 93ยบ.

- Disney California Adventure -

At 10:01am, hardly anyone going in to the Park.

First thing you can now see poking up from within the Park when walking from between the ticket booths

New lights to light up the Welcome sign

We will be looking at the Carthay Circle Theatre tower topper throughout our visit to Disney California Adventure

- Mickey's Fun Wheel -

Wow, looks really good!

Some construction near the Cozy Cone Motel food establishment

Radiator Springs Curios

A ride vehicle for Tow Mater's Junkyard Jamboree can be seen.  And some sand bags are inside the ride vehicle for testing

Ride gates already installed to the platform of the Flying Tires

Courthouse for Radiator Springs Racers

Some random work going on backstage behind the Paradise Pier parade building

Frame work for one of Flo's V8 Cafe rooftops

Taking a look towards the Carthay Circle Theatre

I wonder if a ride vehicle for Luigi's Flying Tires is under those tents

No loop!

Workers sanding the nooks and crannies on the launch. Possibly getting ready to paint

Someone needs to tell a ride operator that the Screamin' sign indicated a 10 minute posted wait with a Fast Pass Return time of 11:20-12:20

Painting in the station

The crane used to remove the loop

The wooden railings portion have been removed and replaced with a metal top now.  Likely to prevent the possibility of Guests from sitting their kids on top

Very decorative

Side facing the Bay has yet to be done

Speakers on some of the poles at Tow Mater's Junkyard Jamboree

At Cars Land, a Box has been placed in the square holes of the large rock work arch way facing the Pacific Wharf

Looking down the street at the Court House of Cars Land from the Blue Sky Cellar patio

Closer look at the colorful tiles

Some new evergreen trees next to and behind the pump house

Walls block the pathway to Monsters and Muppets

With the construction walls bare, my friend said that the Monster's Inc. Mike and Sully to the Rescue attraction must not be a good enough attraction to mention directions to

Looking down the runway at Carthay Circle Theatre as we head out to Disneyland

- Disneyland -

Not a lot of Guests in the area

With a special event taking place, Disneyland was closing at 6pm. And since the event is taking place in Tomorrowland, some of the attractions needed to close early

Likely more repaving going on here.. Getting rid of the old bricks

Trellis walls possibly for the evening event

Scrubbing the roof of Space Mountain in preparation for Ghost Galaxy

Riding the Monorail and taking a loot at the construction work for Buena Vista Street

Tangle's Tower has been removed from the location

But Guests can still line up to meet Rapunzel and Flynn

Big Thunder Ranch sign still missing

Walking inside the Golden Horseshoe

Looking up at the balcony, some new railings have been placed on the old railings

Pirates of the Caribbean closed for refurshment

Decorations have been placed for Haunted Mansion Holiday

It looks like the scarecrow may received a new red coat

The weeping cedar trees around Mansion have been replaced with these.. not sure what they are called though

Main Street USA - Fortuosity store

Birds! Birds!!

Halloween decorations adorn the mantles inside the shop

Smaller version of the popcorn bucket from last year.. This is meant for trick or treating, but it's a bit small

Looking inside the Disney Showcase store

Pirates and Princess costumes... blah!

This Halloween theme design looks more  like Hong Kong Disneyland's Halloween since they are theming it to the Headless Horseman

As we head out, looking across the plaza at Disney California Adventure with Carthay Circle Theatre's tower topper in view

Never heard of it.  It looks like a knock off of Iron Man.

That will conclude today's pictorial.
Thanks for your patience and stopping by to check it out

Until Next Time...

  3. FASTPASS controllers all default to 10 minutes and will automatically turn on as soon as the park opens, which explains why cast members or managers didn't notice the controller was active on Screamin' before park opening.

  4. (You'll recall the same thing happening over at Splash Mountain with its 10 minute wait during the refurb.)

  5. Real Steel has been being promoted for two years now. Its original concept was "Rock 'Em Sock 'Em Robots: The Movie". Seriously. That's still the concept, just without the name. Men control giant robots in a boxing ring.
