Good day fellow ME readers
It's me, Mint, posting my pictures on a Saturday.
I would have done it on Friday, but a friend had comp tickets for Universal Studios Hollywood that had to be used on that date.
Let's step back in time to Wednesday, June 15 to ride Soarin' Over California one last time before it soars away forever at Disney California Adveture
The FastPass line was all the way to the Smokejumpers Grill doors.
Yikes! 1 hr and 45 min.
It actually took a little over 2 hours to get to the load gates
Goodbye Soarin' Over California
I wanted to watch them close the doors to the hanger, but because it was a Grad-Nite that evening, they still had the doors open and letting in Guests with wristbands to enter

The description of Soarin' Around The World in the Disney California Adventure Guide Map
The information brail board lists the attraction as Soarin'
Once the Park opening spiel started to play, the allowed those who were waiting at the entry point of Grizzly Peak Airfield to enter the area.
Pretty much everyone there was going to Soarin' Around The World
Getting a FastPass, we had to walk down the street towards the plane, and then walk this makeshift queue, eventually entering through the FastPass distribution exit to obtain a Soarin' Around The World FastPass
The updated sign for Soarin'
Me and my Soarin' Around The World FastPass
Getting in line for Soarin' Around The World Standby
The Single Rider option for Soarin' Around The World is temporarily on hiatus
With the new Soarin' Around The World, Disney probably didn't want a mob of Guests to all clamor the Single Rider line
Not so bad for the first thing in the morning
The Stand-By wait was climbing up fast
The inside queue is pretty much the same.
The loading video has changed to accommodate the new Soarin' Around The World
Follow the red line as see all the points in the world you'll by visiting
Unfortunately, the flight pattern on the screen does not match the actual video
Some cloud transitions
They use EPCOT's version of the pre-boarding safety flight spiel
You'll notice they removed the Soarin' Over California sign that hung right behind him.
They blacked out the word "Disneyland" that was printed on the band of the shirt
Overall, I thought Soarin' Around The World was good.
The added transitions between each of the scenes were a nice touch
Quite a number of CGI elements. I am guessing Disney wasn't allowed permission to fly over some of the landmarks, so they had to turn to technology to help them out.
After wondering Disney California Adventure for a bit, it was time to head to Disneyland
Peeking at the Star Wars Land construction
It's gone!
The Skyway Chalet has finally been removed after nearly 22 years since the removal of the Skyway attraction
A mash up of classic Disneyland attraction and Star Wars characters
Over at the Ink and Pain Department...
Before heading home, it's time to check out Star Wars Land from Mickey and Friends Parking Structure
No more Skyway Chalet
Thanks for stopping by and checking out the pictures

Until Next Time...
