Another successful Christmas Time has come and gone at the Disneyland Resort,
Now it's time for the crowds to go away and both Parks to place attractions under refurbishment, so they can get ready for the next peak time, which aside from President's Day, would probably be Spring Break.
But who am I kidding, the crowds won't go away. They haven't been "away" in years.
Entering Disney California Adventure

With the Disneyland Railroad closed for some time, Disney is allowing Guests to get up close and personal with some of the engines.
The forecourt to Sleeping Beauty Castle was closed for a Wonderful World of Disney taping taking place
In Adventureland, Jungle Cruise Skippers interact with Guests
The Jungle Cruise skippers see a Wookie that they must catch
They slowly sneak up behind it
Timing it just right, the pounce on it, capturing it
With the Jungle Cruise closed, a temporary interactive Skipper Skool takes place
Ever wonder what it would be like to be a Jungle Cruise Skipper?
If so, attend the Skipper Skool.
Students are given one typed piece of paper.
Each piece of paper handed out has a different part of the Jungle Cruise script.
They begin to recite the script while the Instructors act out the scenes they come upon.
Trying to get that "Hole in Juan"
Tribesmen
Headhunter territory
They all did a fantastic job that they get a "diploma"
If I heard correctly, this diploma will act as a one time use FastPass that they can use on the Jungle Cruise after it comes back into operation after its refurbishment
River is calm and quiet
I'm sure many people feel the same way, when they realize that a lot of their favorite attractions are closed at the moment
Hey, it's still Christmas at Small World Holiday
Tangled has returned.
Autopia has scaffolding up
Aren't you forgetting the Vader Slippers?
Yes, the Vader Slippers
The new attraction signage for Luigi's Rollickin' Roadsters is already a Disney Pin
Over at the Ink and Paint Department
That will conclude with today's pictorial

Until Next Time...
It's a nice touch for Disneyland to be offering photo opportunities with the trains at the Main Street and New Orleans stations, though it's too bad they couldn't open up the Lilly Belle for people to see the inside, even for a small number of people by lottery or first-come, first-serve.
ReplyDeleteWith the return of the Southern California discount tickets until May and the continued Star Wars Awakens and Diamond Celebration promotions, Disneyland should continue attracting the typical crowds through the spring.
I wonder how the opening of Harry Potter at Universal Studios in April will affect Disneyland resort attendance this year.
I see that Universal Studios is offering a new lower-level season pass at $109, with even more blockout days than their least expensive California Resident Annual Pass. Even though they will have huge attendance numbers once Harry Potter opens in April, I wonder if sales of annual and season passes have not been going as well since they announced their new price structure with so many blackout days and no parking in November.
I am also wondering how Harry Potter is going to affect crowds at the Disneyland Resort. Part of me wants Universal Studios Hollywood to absorb the Disneyland Resort crowd. But I noticed that, even on USH's Gold Annual Passport, many weekends are blocks come summer. I can just picture those that have the USH and DLR Annual Passes flocking to the DLR on the weekends, since they can't use their USH Passes.
