As we will see in today's pictorial, the Disneyland Resort is still in Spring Break mode as many attractions have extended queues up, ready for the crowds
Our first stop this morning, Disney California Adventure
Painting the back side of Soarin' Over California
Grizzly Peak received its signage
The small print underneath it states
"Thanks For Visiting"
The back side of the sign at the moment
Grizzly River Run
Extended queue.
And then there was a lone white pole. ha ha
I have a jewel on top of my hat.
Maybe I too can be part of Disneyland's 60th celebration
Frozen Fun is also coming to an end here shortly
What's that sticking up behind the trees next to Smokejumpers Grill?
Could that be the lookout tower?
We'll get a better view a bit later while on the Disneyland Monorail
Now it's time to head over to Disneyland
Not sure what these are for
The back side of the Castle received some banner flags as well
Pinocchio's facade received its graphic tarp
Although the tarps were down from the Clock Tower at "it's a small world", the clock was not ticking
And here we have Innoventions.
Closed.
What will become of the Carousel building
Some are saying that it will house a Disneyland 60th anniversary exhibit.
I haven't heard anything concrete. It seems like they are being very hush-hush about it,
Will they announce something in the coming days? After all, Disney first announces the new effects for Matterhorn and Peter Pan, and then most recently Disney announced the Hatbox Ghost is indeed coming to the Haunted Mansion.
If something is planned for the Carousel theater, maybe Disney will soon spill the beans and inform us of what's coming to the Innoventions building
Now just waiting for the "Tomorrowland" sign
Watching logs travel down the drop of Splash Mountain
Taking a look at the Matterhorn while waiting for the Monorail
Grizzly Peak Airfield looks like it is gonna be beautiful with all the trees and theming taking place
The lookout tower in place
Can't wait for Peter Pan's Flight to reopen.
The new effects should be phenomenal
Checking out the Easter Eggs at the Big Thunder Ranch Jamboree
A new Cinderella themed Egg
Tiki Room themed Easter Eggs
Extended queue for "it's a small world"
Another look at the facade now that the sun is fully out
As I am about to leave Disneyland, decide to ride the Disneyland Monorail to the Downtown Disney Station
Wanted to ride again so I could get more shots of the lookout tower
That will conclude today's pictorial
Thanks for stopping by and checking it out
Feel free to leave a comment
Until Next Time...
Thanks for the great photos! Did you notice they switched the gears on the small world ride? Compare to this old photo: http://davelandweb.com/smallworld/images/60s/KTPBKYC126_10_66_N02R.jpg
ReplyDeleteThese are the best photos to date of the Grizzly Peak Airfield. Thank you! I have a question about the blue-ish structure next to the new tower. Is that just construction scaffolding or a new structure?
ReplyDeleteThanks for the compliment :)
DeleteAbout your question,
Are you referring to the structure as seen in the bottom left corner of the last picture?
If so, that's a structure that's always been there as it's where the Fast Pass machines for Soarin' are.
