What a glorious day to visit my free blog
Spend some time, not money, freely looking around.
Can I just say what a glorious morning it was at the Disneyland Resort.
The sun was up and out before I was, and it made for a nice walk to the Resort
I got to the Disneyland Resort around 7:45 a.m. and both Disneyland and Disney California Adventure had an 8 a.m. opening.
After clearing bag check, looking up at the top floor of Soarin' Over California
Heading into Disney California Adventure first. Even looking through the Main Gate, it doesn't look busy.
Looking at Disneyland, it doesn't look bad either
Other than the BGM, it was quiet walking down Buena Vista Street
It's 7:51 a.m. and there is literally no one...NO ONE at the rope drop.
The Guests you see walking beyond the rope are the Early Entry Guests.
Checking out the progress of the transformation of Condor Flats to Grizzly Peak Airfield
Timber! (land)
The Opening Spiel for Disney California Adventure is now playing, and this is it as far as Guests waiting for the Park to open
Quickly looking over at Hollywood Land before the Opening Spiel finishes
Another look at the Taste Pilots' Grill restaurant before walking down the Parade Route
Normally this walkway will be full of Guests, shoulder to shoulder
Many would be heading towards Cars Land and Radiator Springs Racers.
The crowd was so light, that we can even see the Radiator Springs Racers Cast Members
As many... or in today's case the few, made their way into Cars Land, I made my way to Paradise Pier
Looking towards the attraction that I am heading to
Looking over at Luigi's Flying Tires, we can see that they started to remove the inflatable pads that aligned the rim of the air floor
Other than that, not much more visible progress
With great weather, brought clear skies.
With a slight wind, it was pushing out any pollutants and made the surrounding area pretty clear to see
The Matterhorn has more "snow" at a lower altitude than the real mountains in the background
Just like clockwork, this "Grizzly" bear looks like he's waking up from hibernation
Soarin's facade work
At this time, it's roughly 8:20 a.m. and Toy Story Midway Mania has no line.
Like literally no line.
As Guests approached the entrance, they were taken up to the side entry way to get placed in their rows. So they were pretty much just walking right. on.
The side street leading to Cars Land from the Pacific Wharf was empty.
All you'd hear are the sounds of the engines from the Radiator Springs Racers as they traveled along the road
For Cars Land, this early in the morning and to see all the way down to Stanley's statue at the Courthouse is quite rare.
That's how slow it was.
A new awning has been installed
Work being done on the Fly 'n' Buy store front
Another street that is baron... Hollywood Land
Disneyland Time...
Those guys better step to either side, otherwise that Main Street vehicle is gonna run them over
Yes, Yes, let the sun fade out the pink even more!
Boarding the Disneyland Monorail.
As you travel pass the transformation of Condor Flats to Grizzly Peak Airfield, there is a new narrative audio segment that is heard on the Monorail
"We're now passing Grizzly Peak, where our Imagineering team is creating new scenic wonders for you to enjoy this summer"
That must be the Imagineering team the narrator was talking about
From the highway in the sky, looking down at the highway on the ground
It's the Disneyland Tram
it's a small world
Can be believe that earlier this week there was a terrible fire that took place on the far West end of the facade, due to possible falling debris from fireworks
Boarding the Disneyland Railroad
Just the like rest of Disneyland, the rail cars have hardly anyone riding them
Those who are paying $100+ a ticket must be loving this!
Indiana Jones just celebrated 20 years.
Gosh, 20 years ago... I was a senior in high school
I remember the day it opened, classes were half empty. Teachers commenting that they are all at Disneyland checking out the new Indiana Jones ride
Taking a ride on the Haunted Mansion
So like the ride had stopped.
Then moved like 10 feet and then stopped again.
And we were there for like 5...maybe 10 minutes.
Some taking pictures
People began getting on their mobile phones to pass the time
People even started to recite the same spells Madame Leota chants
Critter Country refurbishment
Did you hear?
Innoventions scheduled to close March 31, 2015
But what's gonna happen to Innoventions once it closes?
Will be become a Carousel again? Maybe a "Marvel"ous Carousel.
Or will it be dormant for years?
Or will it be builldozed?
And if bulldozed, will they also take the People Mover platform as well?
Of course not, it's being gutted
Rumor has it that there is suppose to be a Disneyland 60th anniversary exhibit taking place in the old Dream Home area.
I wouldn't be surprised if that doesn't even happen and Disney just wants to start taking everything out so they can start whatever it is they want to do with the building
Snow White, are you in there?
Cinderella dolls
And look. Glass slippers!
That will conclude today's free pictorial
Thanks for stopping by and checking it out, for free
Feel free to leave a comment.
Until Next Time...
Can't wait to see what's in store for the old CoP building. Anything is better than what is in there now, particularly downstairs.
ReplyDeleteOh, I know.
DeleteWhen I read that Innoventions was closing, I couldn't believe it.
Innoventions has been in existence for almost 17 years.
It won't be something i'll miss :)
Your comments about your "free" blog are too funny! I was reading another blog and every other paragraph was hitting me up for money to donate. I'm guessing we probably read the same one and that's why you stressed that yours was free. So thank you, it's my favorite Disney blog.
ReplyDeleteHa ha.
ReplyDeleteGlad you found some humor in it :)
While I do agree that it takes time and money to maintain a site. After all, I spend my time and money to do my blog. Now I am sure there are alternatives that one can take. Solutions can be - letting someone else take over the responsibilities, or instead of one person doing it, maybe it's a "team" of people doing it, etc.And looking through said site, it appears to be only one writer that is asking for the donations. Every other person contributing to the site isn't asking for money. So that's why I was throwing the word "free" around here and there. ha ha
Thank you for continuously visiting the blog. And hope you keep visiting. :)
Thank you for taking pictures of the new updates at the resort. They help me make my recreation of Disneyland in Minecraft ;D Keep doing what you do, it's awesome!!
