Today is the first day of the great Easter Egg-stravagana Hunt in both Disney California Adventure and Disneyland.
Please be advised that this pictorial will include pictures of the "hidden" eggs.
Passing through the bag check tents, we can see that the back side of Soarin' Over California's building has been repainted green to match the new Grizzly Peak Airfield theme
A crane can also be seen in the area as well
Another look at the crane and the Soarin' building before going into Disney California Adventure
From the entrance to Buena Vista Street, we can see the crane looming in the background
The Disney California Adventure Guide Map now combines the old Condor Flats area as Grizzly Peak
Also looking, notice that they now list where EpiPens
I had seen Guests walking around with these yellow and red popsicle bars and wondered what they were. After scouting around a bit, I found out that they were Olaf Frozen Lemonade Strawberry bars
First stop is to get my Disney California Adventure Easter Egg Hunt map
I wonder if this is gonna be the new platform for a Grizzly Peak signage
Looking at Luigi's Flying Tires from Mickey's Fun Wheel
I looks like the air floor is now smooth
AAAHHHHHHhhhh
Some of those eggs were hard to find.
I like how they have been in different places each year. The locations may be the same, but the exact spot the eggs are placed have been different for the most part.
Heading over to Disneyland
It's starting to warm up fast and there are two priorities I need to take care of.
First, to get a Disneyland Egg-stravaganza map and to ride the Disneyland Monorail, for the fear it might close due to a/c issues. I didn't want to take any chances with the Monorail
Walking past the attraction posters, the filler firework show "Fantasy in the Sky" received its own poster.
The Disney Showcase and redemption area for the egg-stravaganza hunt
I just love the way the maps now come in a zip-lock bag
We can see that more and more is added to Sleeping Beauty Castle as it gets closer to the 60th celebration kickoff
These "diamonds" look like mini Space Mountains
As you can see, Guests are having a hard time looking at the Castle. Most are facing away from it and/or wearing sunglasses cause it is just glaring show brightly
Of course, this image was photoshopped with lens flare.
I can't help but wonder if this is the kind of effect Disney is wanting for Sleeping Beauty Castle as the Park celebrates 60 years
Or if they are looking are the more subdued, less intrusive version.
Time to head over to the Disneyland Monorail
We see trees are starting to get planted in the Grizzly Peak Airfield
Love the trees
Finally shade will be provided in the area.
I hated walking in this area when the sun was bright and it was warm cause I could feel it all the way through as I walk down the landing strip
The Magic Eye Theater will now be called the Tomorrowland Theater
All Big Hero 6 references have finally been removed
The Starcade is getting ready to exhibit the new Tomorrowland movie featuring art work and props from the movie
Even the Sailing Ship Columbia was being used today
When Hungry Bear restaurant reopens, the Fantasmic! dessert option will no longer be available
This design reminded me of the Mystery Lodge at Knott's Berry Farm
Yay! Completion
The line of people waiting to get their Egg-stravaganza map
Last weekend for Innoventions before it closes
So this couple was all lovey dovey as we travel through the Grand Canyon and Primeval World
Only to emerge far apart from one another
What happened in there?!?
Riding the train through Critter Country
Small World Clock Tower still under refurbishment
Heading home for the day now.
Gonna use the Monorail to the Downtown Disney station
We catch a glimpse of the trees between Smokejumpers Grill and Soarin' Over California entrance
That will conclude today's pictorial
Thanks for stopping by and checking it out
Feel free to leave a comment
Until Next Time...
