No Time To Spare. Gotta Start Getting Christmas Time Set Up!
Walking to the Disneyland Resort, I pass through the Downtown Disney entrance and notice that the new fall decor of leaves
Now these make a bit more sense.
Although the still seem out of place with the a few (not pictured - one more is to the left of the Ticket entry point for the Disneyland Monorai) placed on the fence
The window displays at the World of Disney store are decked out with Christmas in mind
Aww.. A little Christmas Tree
AWWWW! Small World Holiday
As you can see, these windows mimic the same setup design as you would see in Disney California Adventure and Disneyland
Looking at Disneyland
Facing Disney California Adventure
I decide to go into Disney California Adventure first so they get the "click"
Just as I was about to leave, the Main Entrance Cast Members quickly close the exit gates
They usher everyone (which wasn't a whole lot of people) out of the way.
Soon, Security comes over and monitors the area
I felt like I couldn't escape Disney California Adventure
Didn't they know I need to be inside Disneyland by the time it opens? wink wink
The far end, near Oswald's Gas Station was quickly changed from an Entrance to an Exit, and that's how I got out
Inside Disneyland
Halloween up close and Christmas in the back
With just a little Frozen touch, snow appears on Sleeping Beauty Castle
Visiting an old friend, the New Orleans Square rooftops
Speaking of New Orleans Square, it is getting decked out with Christmas in mind
The door!
It's open a bit
Do I dare go inside?
No. Too many Cast Members walking by
I dare not do it for I don't want to create a scene and get into any sort of trouble
She's back!
The Angel
Hey, wait a minute!
The poster on the left.. has it been modified to fit the Christmas theme?
The original poster is Bisciots Lefevre-Utile, by Alphonse Mucha French Nouveau art
The poster on the right was designed by Jules Cheret and advertises Geraudel cough drops in 1896 and depicts a woman in the snow taking cough lozenges . Google translates "If you take cough lozenges"
This couple notices the door is ajar
They snuck in!
This poster is an advertisement for a toy store called Buttes Chaumont and mentions toys and objects for children
Made by the artist Jules Cheret in 1885
I guess I'll take a quick peek.
Nothing looks to be dressed up for Christmas here
Eh, not much happening at the Royal Courtyard
"it's a small world" getting it's annual Holiday make-over
I hope this new corridor is used for crowds heading out of Disneyland
Can you imagine if they used these this corridor for people COMING IN?
Hordes of Guests coming out from these tiny little doors, only to have nowhere to go other than the tiny staircase leading to the Jolly Holiday patio or through Refreshment Corners patio. That wouldn't create a magical experience for either Guests as it would just create a total nightmare.
Hopefully the West Side Corridor will only be used as an exit.
It appears that the Corn Dog Wagon has been repositioned to accommodate the crowds using the East Side Main Street corridor
Christmas Cards, some old and some new
Vintage Minnie Mouse
Inside here, we can find quite a bit of vintage style Christmas merchandise
These look to be inspired by the 1960's
The only time you'll see Spider Man inside Disneyland or Disney California Adventure
Mickey's Really Swell Diner products
A Big Hero deserves a big poster ad
Christmas time comes to "a bug's land"
Setting up the poles to hang the Cars Land themed garland and wreathes
Some more progress at the Toy Story Midway Mania queue structures
Ah!
What is it?
What is it?
Just a Cast Member wearing the popular tail merchandise
..in Holiday Magic
More fall leaves on the Downtown Disney sign as you enter/exit the Main Entry Plaza
That will conclude today's pictorial
Thanks for stopping by and checking it out
Feel free to leave a comment
Until Next Time...
