Friday also saw Dapper Day, an unofficial event where Guests come in their "Sunday best", or vintage style clothing and enjoy the Parks.
There is quite a bit to look at this week.
Granted, with the time frame I had, I didn't get to see everything. I didn't visit the Thunder Ranch area. Hopefully I can see it next week when I visit.
Starting at the Main Entrance, Disneyland receives it's yearly Halloween Time decorations
Halloween Time bunting on the store fronts of Main Street U.S.A.
Many of the windows along Main Street U.S.A. have been dressed up for Halloween Time. But they can be hard to photograph during the day due to the reflection. And because of the reflection brought on by the sunlight, many of the window displays can easily get overlooked.
The following pictures were taken a night to get a better look.
These pictures are not in any particular order
We will now continue on our way.
First stop in Haunted Mansion Holiday
A sign to guide the traffic that will soon hit the area
Haunted Mansion Holiday had a delayed opening
Because I didn't know how long it would take, I decided to get out of line and wander elsewhere
As I head back towards Port Royal, we can see that the line (which was just a straight shot to the Mansion gates) had stretched towards Pirates of the Caribbean
Rare picture of a sign that is used during the hours the Park is closed to Guests where many vehicles are using the streets of Disneyland to get to places
Obviously, someone forgot to remove this sign before Guests arrived
Man, was Disneyland not prepared for a 9 a.m. opening?
First Mansion is delayed
Then a sign that isn't suppose to be seen by Guests is left out
And now this?!
The Royal Courtyard gates are left open
Disneyland should close these before someone wanders inside
It's an accident waiting to happen
I won't step inside, but I'l use to the open gate to my advantage ;)
Now, I have heard that the Royal Courtyard will not be the new Court of Angels in any way.
This area is just getting a refurbishment and once completed, the stairs and merchandise shelves will be back like before
I decided to head back to Haunted Mansion Holiday.
It wasn't open, but I decided to wait it out
Around 9:45 a.m. the attraction opened up
Happy Holidays Everyone!
To celebrate the Haunted Mansion Holiday's 13th year, Zero floated to each portrait. And it looks like it will be used from now on
This year's Gingerbread House
So earlier, we mentioned how Disneyland didn't seem to be prepared for the 9 a.m. Park opening.
Mansion was delayed
Sign left out
Royal Courtyard gate open with scaffolding in place
Well as we can see with the Mansion (again), the lights behind the mirrors at the end of the ride were left on
So not only did you see your "gift", but you could see how the effect is done
Haunted Mansion continues to get new merchandise
Maid style headband
The Halloween Tree back in Frontierland
Finding Nemo Submarines were being sent through liquid space
Dive!
Dive!
Dive!
Heading to Space Mountain Ghost Galaxy
The quench the thirst of space goers while they wait
Inside Space Mountain, the station received new LED lighting.
Many of the LEDs were burned out so they were able to replace them during the transformation of classic Space Mountain to Ghost Galaxy.
When classic Space Mountain returns, the station should look brighter and better like it did when it opened in 2005 after the complete rebuild
I feel like the orange and red hues inside the station clash with the ghostly green
If there was a way to make the station green, blue, and purple, it may have made the station even more "scarier"
Getting out of Space Mountain, Guests will notice the modified exit area
New panels have been put up
They remind me a little like Star Wars
Do you like the modified exit now that it is completed?
"yes!"
I'm glad
"it's a small world" facade has some scaffolding up
It could be the start of facade work for the 60th anniversary
Over in front of Sleeping Beauty Castle, the drawbridge got a redesign
Gone are the chains and armor shields
And up is a fence
Will the shields return?
Or any other type of theming?
Try raising this bridge up
Will these seating areas be removed?
Will they remain?
Will we see railings placed along the stone portion of bridge?
After all, don't want someone to lean over or stand up and fall into the moat
Dappers watching the Dapper Dans
And then there's Disney California Adventure....
You can hats for heads
So why not tails for your ... "tails" (trying to keep it appropriate)
Just sandbag it!
That will conclude this weeks pictorial to the Disneyland Resort
Thanks for stopping by and checking it out
Feel free to leave a comment
Until Next Time...

ReplyDeleteOne evening I once saw someone walking on top of the stone portion.
That's crazy
