I'm late!
I'm late!
For my important date at the Disneyland Resort.
I had my alarm set at 7:30 a.m. as well as 7:45 a.m. so I can get ready and start walking to the Disneyland Resort around 8:20. But I slept right though them and didn't get up until 9:15!
As I am about to pick out which shirt I want to wear, I look outside and see that it's a little "OC". ... Overcast and Cloudy. Ughh!
I finally get ready and pretty much speed walk to the Disneyland Resort. I walk though Downtown Disney and come to the World of Disney store
New window displays have been added. These were taken a few night ago.
This one depicts the view of Fantasyland and Tomorrowland from the perspective view of the Matterhorn mountain climber
Another window depicts a futuristic city of tomorrow with Space Mountain
Reference to the Tomorrowland '55-'67 where Guests could get their pictures taken with Disneyland version of astronauts
These dark blue rockets (that are on a rotating disc) are getting launched
I am not sure if these light blue rockets, which are slow moving, are suppose to be representing the PeopleMover or if they are just moving slow to act as though they are getting ready for launch
Between then and now, I saw this window. It took me a few moments to figure out what I was looking at. Then it hit me...
An elevator shaft from the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror
Because I was pretty much an hour late, I just started over at Disneyland because I wanted to still get inside while the crowds were still relatively calm
Some filming taking place at the entrance of Disneyland
Just keep going!
Don't make me wave to the lady with the glove hand mommy!
Don't make me wave to her
Mardi Gras
Splash Mountain under refurbishment
With no big draw to Critter Country, it was slow and quiet in the back, especially around the "hundred acre woods"
Sailing Ship Columbia refurbishment
Are they watering the river? ha ha ha
Whoa! activity taking place on top of Space Mountain
Even with the scaffolding and these guys on top of the mountain, the attraction was still in operation
This Native American child must miss his fishing companion.
Although the dog was not present, the whimpering sound of the dog could still be heard
Sleeping kitty
OK Mr. Goat. What tricks do you have up your sleeve for us when your attraction finally reopens? ha ha ha
In the coming weeks, the Skyway Chalet is scheduled to be demolished
I'm gonna miss this more than Billy Hill and the Hillbillies since I have more of a connection with this ride than with the Hillbillies
I wonder if the stairs will be removed as well or if they are gonna stay. If they stay, it would be a bit sad as they would be a constant reminder of the abandoned chalet
"it's a small world" being transformed back to the normal version
He has fall protection on
Finding Nemo Submarine Voyage refurbishment
If we cover up these barricades in white, maybe it will blend in more with Space Mountain.
Yeah, if the Mountain were white! ha ha
But the mountain isn't fully white as dirt is visible
These are some of the show figures wrapped up
When I got off, these Star Wars Storm Troopers were heading up the Autopia Exit
Looks like they are heading downstairs to the corporate lounge
Space Mountain really needs a cleaning
Yellow means caution and Red means DANGER!
The line in Innoventions to meet Thor
Another view of Space Mountain scaffolding from Main Street
Flowers. Pretty flowers
The snow has melted away from Sleeping Beauty Castle
And the small thinner turret has retained the topper
And now it's time for Disney California Adventure
Although I did walk around most of the Park, not much was going on
Aladdin under refurbishment
Two weeks ago, a directional sign for Radiator Springs Racers FastPass appeared next to Carthay Circle Restaurant
And a new smaller sign has been placed in front of the Radiator Springs Racers FastPass marquee
Citizens around the fountain
As Officer Blue and the other female citizen wave to the girl goodbye, it's also my cue to head out for the day
Thanks for stopping by and checking out this weeks pictorial
It is greatly appreciated

Until Next Time...
Could you tell what were they doing in the Sub lagoon?
ReplyDeleteThanks for the photos! I always enjoy seeing the parks- especially when I live so far from them!
ReplyDeleteThank you for coming back to check out the latest pictures and am I glad you enjoy them
DeleteThank you for those pics. My company has been providing scaffold at Disneyland for a while. The last few months have been pretty intense as all the work that needs to be completed is on a tight schedule. Fun seeing our equipment randomly on a blog. Again, thank you.
ReplyDeleteFinding Nemo is being refurbished to repair plaster, electrical and clean/coat structural steel beams and track.
...by the way, contact me at dontwriteme21@hotmail.com if you want more pictures of some of the work fully completed.
ReplyDeleteI think it would be neat to see how one company handles another company's equipment. It's one thing to just know of it, but another to actually see it put to use. :)
DeleteThe information you provided about Finding Nemo is great. I'm glad you were able to share that :)
