Welcome to another weekly visit to the Disneyland Resort. There are a lot of pictures in today's pictorial because the main focus is visiting the newly remodeled Market House on Main Street U.S.A.
So if you are on a slower connection, please be patient.
Let's begin...
Going into Disneyland first. Only because I want to get pictures of the newly remodeled Market House before it gets busy
Some window decor at "The Book Rest"
*Whew!* What a relief. I can go inside with confidence now
Coffee decor adorn the windows to the Market House hosted by Starbucks
We'll go inside shortly...
Now let's step inside
Someone was playing checkers
Inside "The Book Rest". This was the former space of the Disneyana store
The stove pipe oven has been saved
What else would you find in the "The Book Rest" but books.
And more books
"The Book Rest"... Is this where Belle would go when she wanted a cup of java?
Most of the books are actual titles ... often repeated many times among the shelves. Other books are nonsense books. Letters jumbled together to make it seem like it forms words
Checkerboard ready for another set of players
Starbucks mermaid on China
Front side of the menu for the Market House
Back side of the menu
Starbucks products
Do actual Starbucks employees wear headsets like these? I rarely go inside a Starbucks, so I wouldn't know for sure
"Over here! Over here! I'll help the next customer"
"Anyone? Anyone? I can help someone if you are paying attention"
The queue
Please use both sides
Normally I would despise the whole Cast Member waving to Guests with a Mickey Mouse glove on. But how can I despise this Cast Member with a cute face like that. ha ha
On to Frontierland
The open area where the French Fry cart used to be is walled off temporarily
To make sure no Guests crowd the Cast Members when they use the ramp to Load / Unload, ropes are placed up
"Ride Testing In Progress
Authorize Personal Beyond This Point"
Although this sign was up, I don't think any train movement took place. I did hear one of the lift hill chains moving, probably the earthquake lift chain since this sign was placed at the end of the earthquake lift hill tunnel
The River Belle Terrace introduced a new menu
The Mickey Mouse pancakes are still being served.
There was a rumor going around stating that the Mickey Mouse shaped pancakes would disappear when the new menu came in.
So naturally when people heard the rumor, there was a lot of anger from people because they couldn't believe Disney would take something so simple as pancakes away
But look! They are still there.
Snow White's Grotto under refurbishment
Turrets are appearing around certain areas of the Fantasyland dark ride rooftops
Please Disney, salvage this ticket booth
Disney California Adventure time...
New cashier signage at the register inside the children's clothing section of Elias and Company
Also inside Elias and Company, as you move from one area to the next, there are new signage telling you what area you will be entering
Over at California Screamin', a new video has been installed to inform Guests of loading procedures before they get on
This video is pretty much the spiel that many California Screamin' Cast Members would spiel to Guests in the queue, whether or not they would listen to it.
With the televisions, it's now visual for them to see what to do before boarding.
I like how they show that bags go on the floor and small items in the pouch. I never understood when people would put their bulky backpacks in those small pouches. And then when it was time get off, they would struggle at getting their backpack out
It was really warm and dry at the Disneyland Resort that I go something to drink in this Halloween Time themed cup
The big shrub that hid the turn around of the tram route has been removed. It makes it look so much nicer as it feels like it opens up the area quite a bit. Now people should be able to see, when they do, both sides being used
That will conclude today's pictorial
Thanks for stopping by and checking it out
Feel free to comment
Until Next Time...

DeleteHave you seen the new structure built at the old Maliboomer spot? It's hidden behind construction walls but you can see the top of it.
