Good day readers
Sorry that this pictorial is a day late.
On Wednesday, Disneyland began their Egg-stravaganza Easter Egg Hunt. So of course I had to do it. But this year, Downtown Disney got included into the hunt, which meant that there were now three separate hunts.
The three Easter Egg hunts did take quite a bit of time for me to complete.
On top of that, Disneyland and Disney California Adventure didn't open up till 9 a.m. compared to their usual 8 a.m. opening. So everything was pushed back for me.
But I am here, ready to deliver this weeks pictorial
After bag check / metal detector scanning, you'll notice that the Disneyland Resort ticket booths have updated their ticket pricing signage.
They are now electronic and can be easily updated and changed when needed.
Which should be ASAP
As there is a misprint.
"Disney's California Adventure" ?
I hope people don't get confused or lost when trying to find Disney California Adventure
As Walt Disney once said ...
I felt that there should be something built. Some kind of amusement enterprise built. Where the rich adults and children could have fun together
Disneyland doesn't look to crowded on getting in.
Yikes!
Disney California Adventure sure is popular this morning
It must be all the Annual Passholders coming into the Park so they can preview the new Luigi's Rollickin' Roadsters in Cars Land
This year's Egg-Stravaganza map for Disney California Adventure
Condor Flats?
Where's Condor Flats?
I will do a separate post for this years Egg-Stravaganza, which will include Disney California Adventure, Disneyland, and Downtown Disney.
The Mad T Party will be leaving us soon.
This area will make way for the revival of the Food and Wine festival
Apparently this work is for a new Disney Vacation Club (DVC) location
It's 11:30
Diet Coke Break
Two of the Easter Eggs are supposedly hidden along the back trail of Grizzly River Run.
Thing is, with it being under refurbishment, there are walls preventing from anyone going back there.
So what did they end up doing?
Moving them.
This part of the hunt took me forever to find.
The Egg-Stravaganza is suppose to last until March 27, 2016
And Grizzly River Run is under refurbishment until March 15, 2016
Speaking of Chip and Dale ...
Cars Land felt extra crowded this morning
Annual Passholder preview day for Luigi's Rollickin' Roadsters
Keep the kids out of school today
We got a new ride to ride at Cars Land
Just like the concept art
Second round
Many people were smiling and seemed to be having a good time.
Aww... cute little stamps for the Egg-Stravaganza Easter Egg Hunt.
The baby chick is to indicate that you purchased the map.
The two bunnies is to indicate that you have redeemed your prize
Disneyland starting to look a bit more busy around 11 a.m.
These are what the Egg Prizes look like
Egg-Stravaganza map for Disneyland
It's pretty much 11:00 a.m. at this point. So my idea is to start over in Critter Country and go to the Hungry Bear Restaurant to get some pictures of the River before those tables are taken, And then work my way around Disneyland, while also completing the Eggstravaganza Easter Egg Hunt map.
Arriving at the Hungry Bear Restaurant ...
Looks like they are gonna be getting ready to drain the back part of the River
Stopping over at the Frontierland depot...
A wonderful picture of Walt Disney on the Kalamazoo
Learn about the telegraph
And the history of steam trains
There's a great big beautiful tomorrow...
Guess what attraction I am on
Back of the River clearings
Practically nothing ... NOTHING... left of the Big Thunder Ranch and Jamboree
Toon Town facade refurbishment continues
And since we are looking at scaffolding and repainting, let's head over to Tomorrowland
Tomorrowland is too crowded.
The Corn Dog line fills the switch back queue and makes it way up towards the entrance to the Plaza Inn Restaurant
The Park is getting busier and busier
Awww. ...Tea Cup tea cups
The book stand has returned
This Cinderella book is based of the Disney live action movie
As I leave, I got my Downtown Disney Egg-Stravaganza map
After that, I head out by using the Disneyland Resort Tram to the Mickey and Friends Parking Structure
A tunnel that was once used by the Disneyland Railroad before being push upward for the construction of "it's a small world".
It's been "hidden" all these years.
I say hidden because although Guests never really saw it, it was pretty much used by the Cast Members for the Big Thunder Ranch / Jamboree
So many bulldozers
The Nature's Wonderland arches are still in tact
With the clearings, you can see the rooftops of Fantasyland
Man, it makes the Matterhorn seem ever taller
That will conclude today's pictorial
Thanks for stopping by and checking it out
Feel free to leave a comment.
Until Next Time...
Awesome Pictures from Yesterday.
ReplyDeleteThank you.
DeleteAnd thanks for checking it out too
Awesome pictures!! I find all these shots of the clearings for Star Wars Land so fascinating!! In some ways it makes me sad seeing all the deconstruction going on, but also, I am excited that we get to see some of these otherwise hidden pieces of the park (such as the old railroad tunnel, and the rooftops of Fantasyland from outside the park).
ReplyDeleteI just really hope they bring back some trees when they start on building the new land. All the natural tree cover is something that I have always valued in Disneyland (particularly this part of the park). By the looks of the concept art, there should be plenty of trees, so that is good!
