Hello!
And welcome to another weekly Disneyland Resort pictorial.
This is going to be a rather small pictorial because not much is happening at the Resort at the moment.
Walking to the Bag Check tents, new scrolling banner signs have been installed for the Word of the Day contest
First stop is Disney California Adventure
Riding Mickey's Fun Wheel
California Screamin' had a delayed opening
One of the coaster trains was on the first hill
Looking over at Luigi's Flying Tires
Some activity seems to be taking place
Roses
Roses
A useful way of keeping the streets clear for those who want a picture with Red
Just line them up along Luigi's Casa Della Tires building
Speaking of Luigi's, a covered vehicle could be seen
If this is one of the vehicles that Guests will ride, it looks like we may be looking at the vehicle if it's traveling to left, with the raised frame possibly being the windshield
Looks like two vehicles are on the field
Could this be some form of testing taking place for the revamped attraction
National Geographic merchandise at Humphry's
With the 60th anniversary taking place at the Resort, the patriotic banners and bunting that would normally adorn Buena Vista Street is on a small hiatus until next year
Disneyland
As I began to walk down Main Street, I could hear the Disneyland Band
Noticed they were heading towards the Floral Mickey
Mad Hatter imagines he's playing a saxophone
"Well will you look at that .... sheet music
Say Alice, they can't see you with that tiny book blocking their view"
While Mad Hatter and Alice were gathering some children to march to the music of the band, a couple of Guests just started to go up to the band members and talk to them
They even got a picture taken
Just like Alice, I am gonna walk in circles, but I am gonna do it throughout the Park
Why?
When will this poster be removed?
Walking down Main Street... again
Tomorrowland Sneak Peek signage removed
Over at Innoventions, more work is being done on the outside
Took a small break in a little bit of shade near the Tomorrowland train station, I noticed something...
Grape vines!
What I wouldn't give to see a People Mover train go by.
Or, dare I say it, a Rocket Rod go by.
...just something. Anything
I am pretty sure these have been here for some time, but I thought I would show them (again) since themed rope flags have been introduced inside Disneyland and Disney California Adventure
Heading out, I take a look along Main Street.
I often wonder, with projections displayed on the facade of Main Street for the Disneyland Forever firework show, was there ever a thought from Disney about possibly removing the trees.
That will conclude today's pictorial
Thanks for stopping by and checking it out
Feel free to leave a comment.
Until Next Time...
Love the grapes growing in Tomorrowland. I remember when they did the 1998 remodel of Tomorrowland, the publicity said there were edible plants growing throughout the land. Surprised that more of the plants didn't survive the 15+ years since.
ReplyDeleteGreat scoop about the ride vehicles replacing Luigi's!
I'm a big fan of the movie Tomorrowland. I'm sad that the movie did so badly financially, but I have some hope that the land might still be remodeled with some of the architectural design from the movie.
With the grapes, I didn't think the agriculture reached all the way to the train station. When I think of the edible plants of Tomorrowland, the entrance is typically the only the place that comes to mind. So when I saw the grapes, I was a bit surprised.
DeleteI thought Tomorrowland (the movie) was great as I enjoyed it. If the movie Tomorrowland had been a blockbuster success, who knows what kind of influence the movie Tomorrowland would have had on any kind of remodle of the actual Tomorrowland
