What a quite Friday it was.
Maybe people are staying away because of all the publicity the Disneyland Resort has been getting with the measles outbreak.
That's good for me, cause I have already been vaccinated when I was a child. So on my way...
As much as I loved these banner flags at the Main Entrance Plaza back in 2012, I am kind of ready for something new
The Disneyland gates just opened up for Guests to step inside the Park before officially opening at 9 a.m. for the day
Some people outside on the second floor of Soarin's backside
I see that the fence is doing its job.
It's keeping Guests safe from falling backwards into the pretty flowers.
#SafetyFirst
Well, that's noticeable.
What if it's something that would be used for the 60th in some way
Main Street merchandise Cast Members received new costumes
The Park just opened. I rush to the Fantasyland Castle
One wouldn't know that the moat below is drained
Unless you look down
Cast Members were mentioning that Casey Jr was open, so I took them up on their offer and went on it. I had the train allllllllll to myself
Critter Country closed for refurbishment
So the Mansion came back up from its Holiday version to its Classic version
Oh, so you have come to see if anything is new.
Well, stick around....if you dare
I wouldn't make any sudden moves if I were you
Just as our doom buggy exits the attic, what appears to possibly a temporary wall was installed
Is the Haunted Mansion celebrating Disneyland's 60th anniversary? Cause the moving walkways received the diamond treatment
Now why couldn't they wait until Sunday night to cover the clock tower?
Now I am getting on the Disneyland Monorail to check out the Grizzly Peak Air Field progress at Disney California Adventure
First trip
Second trip
Hey, wait a minute. An extra seagull
Now inside Disney California Adventure
Taking a look at the Grizzly Peak Airfield, of what I can see of it, from the gound
"it's tough to be a bug" is closed for refurbishment
Will they host another "sneak peek"?
Frozen
The Boudin Sourdough Bakery Tour is almost completed with its refurbishment
A vintage delivery truck has been placed outside
The signage is with a white background instead of the dark red.
The white makes it look so much better and inviting
A new round disc signage found on the side of the building
Even the headlights work
Nailed it!
A peek inside
Which really can't see much
Paradise Bay is nearly all drained of water as World of Color is being refurbished
Redwood Creek Challenge Trail is closed
So is Grizzly River Run
Not only is Condor Flats closed, but so it the Golden State area as well.
That will conclude this weeks pictorial
Thanks for stopping by and checking it out
Feel free to leave a comment
Until Next Time...
Very cool!
ReplyDeleteDo you think the temporary themed wall in the Haunted Mansion is where they are going to install the Hatbox Ghost for the 60th?
ReplyDeleteI don't know.
DeleteI say that because what would a hatbox ghost be doing outside of the attic? To me, it doesn't make sense
Nice pics! Seems like almost the whole park is closed though :(
ReplyDeleteYeah, there are quite a few things closed during this time. I wonder if those who are paying the high prices feel they are getting their monies worth.
DeleteWhy do they call Disney employees "Cast Members"?
ReplyDeleteBecause Disneyland is a stage. And the employees are performing their role. Actors who perform are typically called a Cast. hence Cast Member :)
