The Disneyland Resort held a 24 hour long event on May 24th to kick start their Montrous Summer campaign. Unfortunately I was unable to attend and couldn't do my Friday update. I was able to visit the next day though and so I present to you this weeks pictorial...
Buena Vista Street is all decked out with banners and bunting for Memorial Day, Fourth of July Holiday, and Labor Day
Over in Hollywood, a Meet-n-Greet has been set up for Mike and Sully themed to the new Pixar movie "Monsters University"
At this time, they were posing with Disney Channel people, who were so annoying and loud
1313 , The address number to Disneyland
If you can reach, don't forget to toot the bike horn
Over at Mater's Junkyard Jamboree, one of the baby tractors lost it's trailer
A manual fan mixed in with electric fans
Nothing says Americana like an American flag and Duffy

Patriotic bunting appears on Main Street USA
Railroad ties are starting to get placed on the track
The walls have come down around the New Orleans Square / Frontierland Station
Soon I will be riding on the Mark Twain
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad Refurbishment continues
"Opa! A Celebration of Greece" was taking place along the Small World Mall

Mickey gets his own brush now that he is no longer an apprentice
I felt like I just watched an updated version of Disney's California Adventure's old Hyperion show "Steps in Time". It had that same kind of feel and vibe.
Ugh! Cast Members with one handed Mickey gloves.
Honestly, who thinks this is cute?!?
Let me guess ... "But Florida does it" syndrome
Majority exits towards the Train station
Walk around feeble Greek warrior
Where are the Spartans? That's who I want to see

Walking over by the Disneyland Hotel, construction walls have been place.
Maybe the entrance sign will look like this :)

That will conclude today's pictorial
Thanks for stopping by and checking it out
Until Next Time...

ReplyDeleteI disagree. I have seen this in person and I enjoyed it. If you dislike it, fine. Keep being negative and overly critical as usual. At the end of the day, if you don't like it, it doesn't matter. You're in the minority.
How is comparing it to a theme park stage show of the past inherently negative and critical? It's an observation that a theme park stage show that uses a thin narrative to string together musical numbers from various Disney movies is similar to, well, another show that does that. Reminded me a lot of Animazement as well (including Under the Sea and Just Around the Riverbend), but with mapmakers instead of 'animators.'
DeleteI think it's a good show, but does have some distracting flaws that could be easily fixed (lack of Lilo or Stitch onstage, weird pelvic puppet, cheap Yensid animation). The princess trio was fantastic, I could've used a couple more minutes of it.
Thanks for your avid dedication and work on your blog, Mint. At the end of the day, if a reader doesn't like it, it doesn't matter. They're in the minority.
