I have been waiting all week for today. You see, this is Limited Time Magic's Long Lost Friends week at the Disneyland Resort.
Last night I made sure my alarm was set to 7:00 a.m. so I can wake up early. Just as I got up, I thought to myself that Disney California Adventure and Disneyland don't open till 9:00 a.m.. So I went back to sleep, and slept for another hour and a half before getting up.
I wasn't in a rush because I didn't want to be there at the 9:00 a.m. opening when everyone else would be there. And I knew my friends would be there until 5:30 p.m., so I wasn't too worried
Decided to walk through Downtown Disney. These are cool hanging flower baskets in the form of Mickey Mouse's silhouette.
Even though I wanted to see my Long Lost Friends, they wouldn't be at the Big Thunder Ranch till 10:30 a.m. So to kill some time, I decided to stop by Disney California Adventure first
Walking down Buena Vista Street
Pretty flowers in Paradise Pier
Crew looking at the World of Color platform
Don't know if you remember or not, but for some time there was a whole rumor from a "reliable source" about the removal of these trellises because of the potential to block the view of World of Color. And yet, here they still stand
When I first heard of these hat, I truly thought they were an April Fool's Joke, as they came out on April 1, 2013
Cars Land, busy as usual
Grumpy antenna Topper
Now it's time to go to Disneyland
Disneyland Resort Main Entry Plaza
Alice in Wonderland without the tarp. Probably was just a paint job on the Castle Wall
Fantasyland Theatre's Mickey and the Magical Map stage
Heading to Big Thunder Ranch Jamboree to check out some Long Lost Friends
Different sets of characters can be found here throughout the day. These were several of the characters that were at the Jamboree while I visited.
Three Little Pigs and the Big Bad Wolf
Mulan and Mushu
The Jamboree was full of Guests wanting to meet their "long lost friends". Man, the Disney characters sure do have a lot of friends as they all came out to see them. They must feel loved.
A couple of activities for the kiddies
This isn't the sweet maiden Mulan. This is the warrior Mulan
Even though I didn't get up close to them, they saw me and I saw them, so we were all good!
Continuing with my walk around...
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad refurb continues
While visiting Tarzan's Treehouse, noticed this wild flower
Over at Innoventions, a new Iron Man 3 exhibit will debut the next day
Several Iron Man themed canvases have been hung on the second floor of Innoventions
While leaving, had to stop at see the new Buzz Price window on Main Street
This can be found on the little building to the left of Disneyland City Hall
That will conclude today's pictorial
Thanks for stopping by and checking it out
Until Next Time...
It's nice to finally have something for people to look forward to seeing in Innoventions and also cool having the 3 Pigs and Big Bad Wolf back. In the old days they were regulars in the park.
