Today Disneyland and Disney California Adventure opened at 9 a.m. which meant a lot of people were up and eager to experience the Parks.
Frozen Fun, just without Olaf's Snow Fest
Looking at Grizzly Peak Airfield
Rock work and...
.. a nice stiff piece of wood.
Getting ready for the Grizzly Peak Airfield sign
A closer look at the checkerboard pattern on Soarin's building
Waiting for the sign to appear
Lamp post
This caught my eye instantly and I thought of Taco Bell
Mickey's Fun Wheel
Looking at Luigi's Flying Tires
One thing I noticed at Luigi's, behind the green shurbry (pictured on the right), a building has appeared.
Maybe this is the maintenance building for the new cars that will move around the field
Projectors on Ariel's Undersea Adventure building
Mad T Party moving back in
Smoking, brought to you by the folks at Kellogg's
Olaf's Snow Fest ended on April 30th
But don't worry, Olaf is still around
Fast Pass to see Olaf
Return between the 20 minute window
Signs indicating that this is the Grizzly Peak Airfield area
Time to head over to Disneyland
With the 60th anniversary kick off fast approaching, it's only appropriate to change out the decade old window displays at the Emporium on Main Street
I wonder if each of these ribbons describe the overall window display scene
Buzz Lightyear Astro Blaster facade spire is getting repainted with the Buzz Lightyear color scheme
There are some people out there that think a Disneyland 60th exhibit will take place in Innoventions.
I am not one of them.
If I am wrong, then I will admit my mistake.
Riding the Disneyland Monorail to see how the transformation from Condor Flats to Grizzly Peak Airfield is shaping up
The old Fly 'n' Buy has been renamed to Humphrey's
That's probably a nod to Humphrey the Bear, who starred in 7 cartoon shorts, 2 of which were created just for his own series, before Disney did away with the theatrical cartoon shorts.
John Muir, who was an activist on preserving wildlife
He helped preserve Yosemite Valley, the Sequoia National Park, and other wilderness areas
A little bit of trivia, John Muir was also mentioned in the extinct Disney California Adventure attraction "Golden Dreams"
Matterhorn scheduled to reopen May 22, 2015
Some Star Wars merchandise
Olaf is happy for all those who can join the happiest cruise to ever set sail
Some activity taking place over on the second level of the Jungle Cruise queue
Back on Main Street...
Ack! a bottleneck!
With the Disneyland Band performing at the cross street of Main Street, it pushes everyone into the small sidewalk on either side of the street.
Ugh!
Smart move
A child is brought out to conduct the Disneyland Marching Band
That will conclude today's Disneyland Resort pictorial
Thanks for stopping by and checking it out
Feel free to leave a comment
Until Next Time...

ReplyDeleteSo The little ribbon poem does correspond to the theme of the windows (from top to bottom: Aladdin, Frozen, Peter Pan, Cinderella, Toy Story, Princess and the Frog). I can't wait to see them, although if they are unveiling them 2 at a time throughout the summer I will have to catch the last 4 on your blog since I will be blacked out
