Welcome readers and seers to this weeks visit to the Disneyland Resort
Can you believe that rain is scheduled in the forecast on this day?
Of course, the app stated around the afternoon that it would hit. So with a 9 a.m. opening, I am rushing around trying to get pictures. But it turns out that the rain didn't occur until in the late afternoon early evening.
Normally I go to Big Thunder Mountain, but this time I continued on in Frontierland
A Star Wars Land crane in the background
Rock work
See those steal beams rising in the background.
We will see them later on from the top of the Mickey and Friends Parking Structure
The Disneyland Railroad will travel in front of this new rock wall
Now it's time for a ride on Big Thunder.
Some of the ropes and poles have been removed from this area.
It was like this last week too!
I guess when Fast Pass is being utilized and there is a line, this crescent area will be clear of Guests
Star Wars Land from Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
Matterhorn down for refurbishment
Snow White's Grotto being refurbished
Trying to hide the path with some tarp themed forest
As I head out, crowds head in
I wonder how many people are watching them perform
Uh .. this many.
So crowded in there
Beauty and the Beast merchandise
A bit of the Guardians of the Galaxy Mission: Breakout! is exposed and can be seen from the Disneyland Main Street train station right side tunnel
Guardians of the Galaxy Mission: Breakout! as seen from the Main Entry Plaza
Guardians of the Galaxy Mission: Breakout! as seen from Elias & Co on Buena Vista Street
The live action Beauty and the Beast sneak peek taking place at the Sunset Showcase Theater
Some props are on display inside the waiting lobby
Going by the preview I just saw, I don't think Emma Watson was right for the part as Belle.
She from England, playing a French girl.
That's like having Dick Van Dyke play and English man in Mary Poppins.
They just don't seem to go together
Who signed off on this doll design?
While I was taking pictures, a couple of girls noticed the dolls and even commented that they look horrible.
And I have to agree.
They do look a bit creepy.
Speaking of horrible (as some have been mentioning on social media)
The exposed area looks more like a computer chip at the moment
Red Car Trolley being brought into service
Something is covered over at the Fast Pass entrance to Goofy's Sky School.
Could it be for the electronic Fast Pass system that the Disneyland Resort will be rolling out?
Hi sir.
How can I help you?
Yes, last time I was here, there was this ride that took you to the top inside this building, where you saw ghosts, and door opened to the outside, and then dropped you a few times. I am trying to find it, but am having a hard time.
Oh, that was the Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, located in Hollywood Land. But Disney felt the need to bring in more Marvel into the Parks, so it is being transformed into a whole new experience called Guardians of the Galaxy Mission: Breakout! And it will open this summer. You should come back and check it out.
Ok, yeah, maybe. Now, also last time I was here, there was this ride in Cars Land that were like these giant tires you sat in and moved across the platform. I went over where it was and it was something else. A Luigi Roadster or something.
Yes, Luigi's Rollickin' Roadsters in a brand new fun attraction here at Disney California Adventure. Luigi's cousins are all here visiting from Carsoli, Italy and you can join in the fun with a song and dance, It's sure to please the little ones in your group.
Where can I find the exit?
Just down this path sir.
Star Wars Land from the Mickey and Friends Parking Structure
You can see steal rising up on the left side
That will conclude Friday's visit to the Disneyland Resort
Thanks for stopping by and checking it out.

ReplyDeleteAccording to wikipedia Emma Watson was born in Paris France, She moved when she was five, She can speak some French.
ReplyDeleteThank you for the photos, once again! Thanks, even for the photos of that blemish on Hollywood Land. :(
ReplyDeleteThat first photo is emotionally moving for me. It's been a long time since I've been to Disneyland. The perspective of this first photo shows the intimacy of the place. Subjects heading for the castle. The trees.
ReplyDeleteLove seeing the pics of Star Wars land - I didn't realize the scope of it until I saw the pics you took from the parking structure. Hopefully it's big enough to hold the crowds that are going to come! And definitely NOT impressed with what I'm seeing from Guardians of the Galaxy so far. :(
