Continuing around Shanghai Disneyland, we make our way over to their Adventureland.
There's Treasure Cove, where Pirates of the Caribbean can be found and Adventure Isle where Roaring Rapids and Soaring Over The Horizon is located.
It's not raining.
Guests are just protecting themselves from the sun with their umbrellas
This Adventure section of the Park is big
Canoes can be found in Adventure Isle
Attraction videos from Shanghai Disneyland could be found online, but knowing that I was going to be coming to the Park, I avoided them all.
I did catch a few reactions, mostly positive, of this new version of Pirates of the Caribbean.
So I was very eager to see what many were talking about.
Getting into the boats, which has dividers for each Guest.
That would explain why they have a Single Rider option.
Watching the boat in front of us leave the station.
Sure is different than the other Pirates versions at the other Disneylands
The boat will dip down into the water after leaving the conveyor belts
Instead of a Blue Bayou restaurant, Shanghai Disneyland has Barbossa's Bounty, which is a quick service restaurant and anyone can sit at the tables along the edge of the patio
Pirate skeletons
At first it's smooth sailing
Then all of a sudden the boat begins to rotate and speed up.
It was such a total surprise and it felt awesome!
It's Captain Jack Sparrow
Cue the Jerry Bruckheimer theme score
One thing I had heard about this version of Pirates compared to the other versions made prior is that this one uses projection screens
And so we finally see where the screens come in play.
The famous battle scene that I had seen depicted in concept art
My friend was telling me that I should think about putting my camera away as there is a part where you get wet
Easily get caught up in a battle between Jack Sparrow and Davy Jones
Coming back into the station
Oh! They take your picture.
This isn't taken as your boat is going down a drop, but rather as your boat is coming up (facing backwards) from a dip at the climactic ending
Pepsi is the soda of choice in Shanghai Disneyland
Not much of a Pepsi fan (nor a Coke fan) so I settle on 7Up
Several parks have been placed throughout the Park.
This particular park can be found near Pirates of the Caribbean and the transition between Treasure Cove and Fantasyland.
In fact, the mountain you see in the back is part of the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train Coaster
Standing in front of the picnic park, I turn around to face Treasure Cove
Making our way towards Adventure Isle
The Park had been open for about 3 , maybe 4 hours and FastPass for both Soaring Over the Horizon and Roaring Rapids had concluded for the day.
Now I know how Guests who visit Disney California Adventure feel when the the Park has only been open for a short time and Radiator Springs Racers FastPass has concluded for the day.
A glimpse of the Challenge Trails in Camp Discovery
Roaring Rapids which reminds me of Grizzly River Run at Disney California Adventure
I had heard that in order to do the Challenge Trails, you would have to sign a waiver.
I had thought it must be intense for a waiver to be signed.
We eventually did do the Challenge Trail multiple times, but no waiver was ever signed
Looks can be deceiving on the Challenge Trail
Heading back through Adventure Isle towards Treasure Cove
We finally go through Fantasyland to ride Seven Dwarfs Mine Train
But we opt to get a FastPass instead of waiting in line
To pass the time, we ride The Many Adventures of Winnie The Pooh
Ugh!
This Pooh is just like in Hong Kong Disneyand, which is like the one in the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World
Instead of the Tea Cups, they have Hunny Pot Spin
Yup! Frozen was playing here too!
We were both sick of Frozen everywhere at home in California that we decided to not check this outl
Sorry Olaf
At the Gardens of Imagination, they have the Gardens of the Twelve Friends.
Mosaics depicting Disney and Disney Pixar characters in the Chinese Zodiac animals
Fantasia Carousel
The cute Mickey Avenue
I am totally in love with Mickey Avenue
Another look at Shanghai Disneyland before heading back to the Hotel for a bit
You sure will!
That will conclude part II of this pictorial
Thanks for stopping by and checking it out
Feel free to leave a comment
Until Next Time
Instead of Roger Rabbit's Car Toon Spin at Mickey Avenue, It's Benny the Cab's Delivery Buidling.
