After visiting Hong Kong Disneyland, it was then on to my favorite Disney destination...
The Tokyo Disney Resort!
Now because there are quite a few pictures, this will be Part I
The entire time we were in Japan, we stayed on property.
By the time we had gotten to our hotel, it was around 9 p.m.
The first night at the Resort, we actually stayed at one of the bay side hotels, the Hilton Tokyo Bay.
This was also our first time staying at one of the bay side hotels.
Our room .. it looked like a cross between 70's and 80's version of what the future would be when it comes to furniture
A little 80's styling going on here
The bathtub has two color hues to choose from.
Blue....
and Yellow
A neon light can be turned on next to the television
This room was so weird and cool at the same time. We actually slept with the neon light on.
But for me, by doing so, I kept having strange dreams in the night. And each dream included this bright neon color. Looking back, I guess I could have easily turned it off. But at the time, I wanted it on as I have never been in a hotel room with this feature
Waking up the next day, what a bright early morning
Our view of Tokyo Disneyland from our hotel room
There was a construction wall around the outskirt of Tokyo Disneyland.
My friend and I were wondering if this could be the starting stages for Tokyo Disneyland's Fantasyland expansion
Now, the first day we were in Japan, we didn't go to either Park.
Why?
Because my friend and I did some sightseeing.
With it being our third time in Japan, I wasn't sure what was left to see, but my friend managed to find a few things.
The second night, we stay at the Ambassador Hotel
I thought I grabbed pictures, but I guess I didn't.
After a fun of sightseeing, it was time to visit the Parks of the Tokyo Disney Resort.
Day 1 - Tokyo DisneySea
Day 2 - Tokyo Disneyland
Day 3 / Day 4 - Park Hop
Riding the Monorail, one of them was already decked out with Halloween decor
Our first day consisted of Tokyo DisneySea
There are a lot of Guests waiting to get in.
But that is no surprise. One, it's Tokyo Disney, and second, it is Tokyo DisneySea's 15th anniversary today.
By staying at one of the Disney Parks hotels, we were able to get into the Park 15 minutes early
Happy 15th anniversary Tokyo DisneySea!
We will actually be staying at the Hotel MiraCosta during the tail end of our Japan trip
Mount Prometheus in the background
So many people.
Our first stop was to Toy Story (Midway) Mania
Are all of the people going there too?
Cause we are all headed in that direction.
Maybe some of them are for the Tower of Terror attraction
It seems like 80% of those people were headed to Toy Story Mania
Toyville Trolley Park is the latest addition since I was last at Tokyo DisneySea, which was in 2007
Yikes!
Getting a FastPass for Toy Story Mania
A look at Hotel Hightower
Yup, all of these Guests are headed to Toyville Trolley Park
They even had to do a split with the crowds for people to cross the street
Tower of Terror!
Entering Cape Cod
Aquatopia wasn't operational at this time as it was having technical difficulties
Decided to get in a 40 minute queue for Journey to the Center of the Earth.
Yes, we actually waited for attractions at Tokyo DisneySea and Tokyo Disneyland.
The Cast Members are so efficient that the queues seem to constantly move.
Going down
Storm Rider is being refurbished and rethemed to a Finding Nemo attraction
The temple in Lost River Delta
Raging Spirits, closed for refurbishment
Another addition new to me at Tokyo DisneySea was Jasmine's Flying Carpets
Taking a boat ride on Sinbad's Storybook Voyage
As much as I enjoy this version, I miss the previous more violent version.
The Caravan Carousel
Some of the "outside" world as seen while exiting the second floor of the Caravan Carousel
Arabian Coast courtyard
The Whirlpool, which is just like Francis' Ladybug Boogie in Flik's Fun Fair at Disney California Adventure
And we will end Part I with a view of Mount Prometheus.
Thanks for stopping by and checking it out

Until Next Time..
Lucky You. I So Jealous, That's the Reason Why I Wanted to Go to Tokyo Disney Resort. Everything is Retro.
ReplyDeleteI miss the Tokyo Disney parks! I stayed at the Hilton in 2004 and 2005, but the rooms weren't this funky. I do like the retro-modern look. Thank you for sharing your trip with us!
