I am finally starting to post pictures from my Disney Asia trip.
Now this visit took place at the end of August of 2016.
The first stop was at Hong Kong Disneyland.
I didn't take a whole lot of pictures at Hong Kong Disneyland this time because I was just here a year ago. There are a few differences from last year's visit and this year's, but for the most part, it's still the same.
This will be Part I of II
My friend and I stayed at Disney's Hollywood Hotel, which is like the Ambassador Hotel at the Tokyo Disney Resort
Between Disney's Hollywood Hotel and the Hong Kong Disneyland Hotel, a new hotel is being constructed ... Disney's Explorers Lodge
Peaking through the fence and tarp at the construction of Disney's Explorers Lodge
Made it to Hong Kong Disneyland
The Park opened at .. 10:30 am that day I believe
At 10, they opened the gates and we entered.
Walking down an empty Main Street USA
They don't have a rope drop, they have ... a line drop.
Waiting for the 10:30 am opening
Received several free stuff while waiting.
A sticker
A coupon
And a Mickey / Duffy card
A family is chosen to open the Park, and Snow White lends a helping hand
Once the Park opens, it's a mad dash to Space Mountain
Hong Kong Disneyland is also doing a Star Wars overlay in Tomorrowland.
Just like at Disneyland (California), they too have HyperSpace Mountain
It's a trap!
Unfortunately the Darth Vader is non-edible.
It's just a piece of thick paper
Autopia is closed
Not sure if Autopia is closed for good or just temporary while the Iron Man Experience is being built.
The roadway of tomorrow goes right above the Trials of the Temple stage.
Iron Man Experience building
The Fairy Tale Forest was being built last year while we visited, so this attraction is new to us.
Walking through, it's like Storybook Land. Just without the canal and boats
But, with updated scenes
Here, you can meet Tinker Bell, but we decided to just pass on it
Small World's facade was being refurbished.
But the tarp was just blank. No graphics on it like you might find at any of the other Disney Parks when they refurbish a facade
Heading back to the hotel for a couple of hours...
More Explorers Lodge construction pics
Had a nice break and rested a bit, now it's back to Hong Kong Disneyland...
Gotta ride the Jungle Cruise as it was closed for refurbishment last year
We got on the English version of the attraction.
And even I could barely make out what was being said.
The climatic scene
And if you got wet, no worries. Just stand in front of this fan to dry off
As night falls, we ..well, more like my friend decided to catch Paint The Night. I was more than fine skipping it as it is not a favorite parade of mine, either here in Hong Kong Disneyland or at Disneyland (California)
Like when it debuted at Hong Kong Disneyland, last year it did a parade stop. And you could use the light up paint brushes to "paint" the floats.
This time though, the parade just kept rolling by.
Well, that will conclude Part I of my August Visit to Hong Kong Disneyland.
Stay tuned for Part II
Thanks for stopping by and checking it out.

Until Next Time...
