Let's Go!
First stop, Disney California Adventure
Chip and Dale are out and about with the Guests
Getting a late start today, I didn't arrive to Disney California Adventure till after 9 a.m.
Golden Zephyr closed for refurbishment
You will notice these safety rails on part of the loading platform
No need to panic as they are not permanent
These rails are not meant for Guest.
One way to know that these are not meant for Guests ....
The thin cables running from one pole to the other.
Regulations would not even pass this as a safety precaution for Guests because it does not act properly as a barrier
Once the attraction opens up, the yellow safety rails and poles will be removed
Over in the Blue Sky Cellar ...
Concept art for Disneyland's Market House remodel
Also included is Aulani's expansion
Love this picture!
To me, it looks like they are looking at plans for the rebuild of New Fantasyland
Cool Buena Vista Street Red Car Trolley shirt ...
And a hat to match
Halloween merchandise is starting to appear heavily in the stores at the Disneyland Resort
Gotta get me one of these Oswald's mugs
Officer Blue helping young woman in distress
Sisters!
Disneyland time...
Over at the Market House ....
Starbucks signage has appeared on both sides of the main entry way to the Market House
The spot where Disneyana once was is not called "The Book Rest", but it is still just an expansion to the Market House.
Maybe this will be an area where Hipsters can sit in chairs with foot rests, sip on their java, and check out their iPads using the free Wi-Fi.
It will be just like a starbucks
The Book Rest seems like a lame name. The name doesn't fit with the rest of Main Street.
You have the Emporium, Magic Shop, Clothiers, Fortuosity, the Bakery, Refreshment Corner, Crystal Arcade .... and the Book Rest. ????
Still missing the conical spire
Scaffolding has appeared pretty much all around the dark ride buildings
...Pause for some duck crossing ...
Disneyland Annual Passholders once again get special treatment. This time they got to experience Long Lost Friends before the area officially opened up at 11 a.m.
There was already a "stand-by" line to the left of the marquee, which is what these Guests are doing.
I didn't have time for that nonsense so I left
Closer look behind the scaffolding
Poor Alice
Her attraction is has nothing but scaffolding and tarps around the building. Ugh
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad refurbishment
Over at the Golden Horseshoe and the surrounding area, there is a little experiment taking place
An interactive ... hmmm...trying to think of what I should call it.
I'll call it a melodrama, has taken place around Frontierland and the Golden Horseshoe
Pretty much it's like the area comes alive with towns people. They will interact with Guests as though they are living in the Western era.
The Golden Horseshoe is the focal point of this interactive melodrama
Not much was going on when I checked it out.
But was told that it is on going throughout the day, so anything can happen. From what little information I was told, there is no set schedule on things to occur. Whether that's true or not, I am not sure.
The Mark Twain was pulling into the dock at this time.
Checking out the Golden Horseshoe again
Vintage looking iPhone case featuring Donald
Monorail iPhone case
Just like the Emporium on Main Street where there are Cashier signs to indicate where to make your purchases, the World of Disney store is following suite
That will conclude today's pictorial
Thanks for stopping by and checking it out
