Can you believe that the next day will be Disney California Adventure's 1 year anniversary relaunch that included the new Buena Vista Street and Cars Land.
Since I knew not much was going on at the Disneyland Resort, I took my getting up this morning. I got to the Resort around 9:30 a.m.
Stepping inside Disney California Adventure
Disney California Adventure's park maps received a new picture cover
Looking through it, I noticed Goofy's Sky School with multiple cars connected to each other, instead of single planes ha ha
With Monsters University, gotta advertise Monster's Inc Mike and Sully to the Rescue
Officer Blue
With Disney's animated movie "Planes", could we possible see a Dusty plane here as a Meet-n-Greet?
FastPass still available for Racers
Over at Radiator Springs Racers, the mist in the final drop where the pictures are taken has returned again
Luigi's Tire Garden
Inside the Five and Dime...
The displays on the top shelf have been changed
Disneyland time...
Alice dancing to the music from the Disneyland Band
Big Thunder Mountain Railroad refurbishment continues
From June 14, 2013 - August 18, 2013 the Disneyland Mountain Climbers scale the Matterhorn
"Man, my teammates get all the fun and glory of climbing the mountain"
"All I do is stand here and monitor them to make sure they are safe"
"How am I gonna get up from here?"
"Let's see... maybe if I do....."
"Grabbing my legs to pull me up didn't work, so now what?"
"I'll use my leg and you reach out and grab it. I'll pull you up"
"I'll just walk up"
"High five me man!"
"That was a bit scary"
When you run out of poles .... tape it!
Ugh, Look !
Who thinks this is cute?
Are they creating the magic?
Forcing high fives
"You either let me high five your hand or I'll high five your face"
Heading home now
Walking along Magic Way, the entrance to the Disneyland Hotel received a new sign
Taken from Google Maps, this is what it used to look like ....
How the new sign looks, which is amazing!
Takes the inspiration from the old Harbor Blvd Disneyland marquee sign
That will conclude today's pictorial
Thanks for stopping by and checking it out
Until Next Time...
I had no idea people actually climb the Matterhorn. Oh my goodness, how fun! You can't beat those snazzy outfits they're wearing either. LOL.
ReplyDeleteYeah. The climbers can be traced back all the way to 1959, the year the Matterhorn opened. But there was a short hiatus Disneyland's 45th anniversary. Then they were brought back for Disneyland's 50th anniversary. Then they were put on hiatus again until last year when the Disneyland Resort was celebrating the relaunch of Disney California Adventure
ReplyDeleteThank you for including the before and after pictures of the Disneyland Hotel signs.
