Sort of got a late start getting to the Resort. And because of things needing to be done after going to the Disneyland Resort, my friend and I decided to drive and park in the Toy Story Lot, which seemed pretty busy.
Looks kind of calm outside the front gate to Disney California Adventure
Looking at the construction taking place for Buena Vista Street through the gate of Disney California Adventure
The area where the restrooms/lockers/stroller & wheelchair rentals used to be is starting to get some extended frame work for Buena Vista Street
While walking through the Pier, several temporary walls have been placed.
Luigi's Flying Tires attraction poster can be seen on this wall
A flat screen television? "If it's good enough for Six Flags..."
- Mickey's Fun Wheel -
...
...
We get in line and all of a sudden they are having technical difficulties. Ugh! So now we continue on with the hopes that it will be operational before leaving Disney California Adventure
A small stage setup
Some more temporary walls
Another look at the wall with some more flat screen televisions.
All these walls and stage set ups are for a Cast Member private event at Disney California Adventure. The event is a Service Anniversary Celebration event and because of it, Disney California Adventure closed at 7:00pm. Disneyland even extended its operating hours by an hour to close at 9:00pm.
More work being done on the backside of Cars Land mountain range
Another small stage. Man, it seems like the event is taking up a majority of the Park
Looking towards the trees of Mater's Junkyard Jamboree
The walls have come down from the front of Disney California Adventure's First Aid station. Some patch work has been done. This is where the silos of the Tortilla Factory once stood
Looking at Cars Land from the Blue Sky Cellar patio
The Courthouse for Radiator Springs Racers
The shack for Mater's Junkyard Jamboree has gotten a bit "darker"
Looking back while walking down the street towards Hollywood Pictures Backlot
Then I remembered about the Carthay Circle fountain, and sure enough I see the fountain head
The parade lights are on and we can also see another flat screen television next to the gift shop doors
Walls have appeared in the area where the Red Car Trolley will make one of its stop
Walking out of Bug's Land, peeked around the bend to see that the Fun Wheel is moving again. So we head back over.
Yay! - Mickey's Fun Wheel -
Looking out towards Cars Land
Workers over at Luigi's Flying Tires
Another look at the Courthouse for Radiator Springs Racers
Radiator Springs Curios
Cozy Cone Motel
I guess this building will be the "kitchen area" for the Cozy Cone Motel food court thingy
A closer look at the Courthouse for Radiator Springs Racers
Radiator Springs Racers!
On top of the giant center rock structure, some LED panels (gray boxes) have been installed
The trees have finally been planted. Before they were just in the crates.
More temporary walls around the walkway underneath Silly Symphony Swings
Because Disney California Adventure is closing early for a private Cast Member event, World of Color will be showing at 7:00pm
Walking towards the Carthay Circle and the Carthay Circle Theatre
Another look at the fountain head
Another set of parade speakers. This one can be found next to the rocks leading into Condor Flats
The backside of the frame work in the area that used to be the restrooms/lockers/stroller & wheelchair rentals
Walking across the Main Entry Plaza towards Disneyland
I can't believe October is almost over
Christmas lights have started to be place on the trees in the hub
- Monorail -
Looking at the construction of Buena Vista Street from the Disneyland Monorail
Riding the Disneyland Monorail again, looking out the other set of windows
Soon "it's a small world" will close for its annual Holiday Time version
More lights placed on the trees near Sleeping Beauty Castle
There sure are a lot of people here
Pirates of the Caribbean
Christmas starting to take place in New Orleans Square
Some new bunting
More new buntings
Yup, it's busy. Utah schools have a 4-day weekend, and many of them are visiting the Disneyland Resort
What's that towards the rooftop in the corner
Some tarps. I wonder what for.
This looks kind of cool and very retro
Leaving the Resort and looking towards Disney California Adventure again
That will conclude today's pictorial
Thank your for your patience and stopping by to check it out.
I really appreciate it.
Until Next Time...
