Friday morning, there was rain forecasted, but wouldn't come until mid afternoon
That would give me enough time to go to the Disneyland Resort, get some shots and head home before or just as the rain was hitting.
Well, it didn't turn out like that.
Disneyland and Disney California Adventure both were opening at 9 a.m. on Friday
The Castle rooftops remind me of coloring books
When one would go around the border heavy with the crayon and then lightly shade in the empty space.
Oh my gosh, did you hear about Isabelle and Steven?
Isabelle was seen out with Steven even though he already has a girlfriend.
Hey, you two!
Less gossiping and more waving the sign.
We have already had a few complaints from some Guests getting caught up at the rope up ahead because they had missed on where to go for the Plaza Inn
About 8:50 a.m. it started to sprinkle.
At 9 a.m. it seemed to have stopped.
After rope drop, I head over to Big Thunder Mountain Railroad
Well will you look at that.
Big Thunder received its new entrance structure.
This was the structure that was being built across from the exit.
There was some speculation that this structure would have been used to house the Fast Pass machines for Big Thunder Mountain Railroad.
Last week, I had made an assumption that this structure would eventually be used as a new entrance structure. And it wasn't until later when I visit the Mark Twain did a Cast Member confirmed my suspicion
As I am walking in the Big Thunder queue, it starts to rain.
After getting off Big Thunder, the rain was coming down quite a bit. Not hard, but enough to get things wet.
I wait for some time, but it wasn't letting up.
With the app already stating more rain around noon, I didn't want to hang around for hours waiting for the rain to pass.
So I just called it a day and went home and decided to return the next day, Saturday, as there was no sign that it would be raining
Saturday, Feb 4 -
Pirates of the Caribbean closed for refurbishment
Stairs leading to a place where it costs $15,000 to eat food.
Star Wars Land construction
Who placed that there.
A Chick publications of Evangelical gospel tracts
A view through a bridge
"it's a small world" reopened from it's Holiday version to its Character filled version
A new entrance marquee
Also a new animated wait time sign
I am surprised that the Valentine heart decorations haven't been placed out yet in Town Square of Main Street
For the boy who want a bubble wand, but don't want one with the Little Mermaid on it, they have now made a Mickey Mouse version
Over at the transformation of the Tower of Terror to the Guardians of the Galaxy Mission Breakout
Peek a boo
Some decorative railings
Work being done across from Toy Story Midway Mania
Looks like the female Cast Members now have a pant option for their costume instead of just the culottes
The entrance is chained up and the is being rerouted
It's now going through that new cut out that was done not to long ago.
Could this be for the start of the new Fast Pass system coming to Toy Story Midway Mania
Remember when California Screamin' had the television monitors about how to board the coaster, where to put belongings, and to push up on the restraint when the Cast Member comes by.
I wonder why they took them away.
To me if felt like the monitors on Ghostrider that talk about safety
A Star Wars Land crane can be seen from Paradise Pier
It ... sort of blends in.
Taking the tram to the Mickey and Friends parking structure
Remember when you could walk along the perimeter of the tram route.
Looks like it's off limits for Guests
Where the sidewalk splits to either go towards the resort or walk along Disneyland Drive, they installed a gate to prevent anyone from using it as it doesn't pass through a security checkpoint
Star Wars Land construction
That will conclude this Disneyland Resort pictorial
Thanks for stopping by and checking it out

Until Next Time...
