Summer Season Winding Down

Around 9:45am, we are walking through the Resort Transportation Plaza along Harbor Blvd. and it was really peaceful and quiet. Looking at the number of people walking through, we thought that it might be slow at the Disneyland Resort

Heading inside Disney California Adventure

Going through the temporary entrance

Half way there

We made it!

For a more detailed look at the temporary route, check out the previous blog post
Disney California Adventure's Temporary Entrance

Did those plants along the arches grow?

Or are those plants new? They go all the way down along the seating area of the Paradise Pier restaurants.  Is it to prevent Guests from watching the parade?

A look at the Carthay Circle Theatre

While waiting in line for California Screamin', one of the shade pieces is ripping quite a bit.  Good thing this attraction will be getting a refurb next week

Closer look at the face work leading into Cars Land

One noticeable change in Cars Land is the appearance of light poles being placed on the main street of Cars Land

Closer look at the poles

The parade route is open again down next to "A Bugs Land"

Carthay Circle Theatre

The waterfall sounded so loud as if more water was being pushed over the rocks

A fork in the road coming up

Going down to Hollywood Pictures Backlot

Looking back towards the area where Buena Vista Street's fountain will be

Heading out to go to Disneyland

New tree planted

At 11:40am, it was nice to see Star Tours with less than an hour wait and FastPass's still available for the attraction

Looking towards Space Mountain on the Monorail Platform

The sign for Big Thunder Ranch is missing

Work being done over at the Golden Horseshoe

The Haunted Mansion closed

Transforming it into Haunted Mansion Holiday

It is a relatively slow day, not only at Disney California Adventure, but also at Disneyland

Some filming was taking place on Main Street U.S.A.

Taking a look inside the Emporium

The registers have moved to along the wall

The built "queue" with last minute impulse buying before being rung up

Sign with the actual character names for the Toy Story Parking Lot

Oh my gosh, look at those pot holes  O.o!

That looks kind of scary to drive over

Some road damage at the closest loading and unloading spot for the Toy Story buses, which is why they don't use that spot.

That will conclude today's pictorial
Thanks for your patience and stopping by

Until Next Time...

  1. I really like the changes they did to the Emporium. Also, the construction looks as if it is coming along nicely.

    Thanks! :)

  2. The more I see of Cars Land, the less I care about it. As the "detail" emerges its looking more and more like a trailer park, white trash land than something magical.

  3. I am just relieved that they are going to finish the backside of the new mountain range with more than srinkwrap.

  5. Thanks for taking me from a really bad day to my happy place. I know I can hold on for a couple of weeks to be there in person. Your photos touch people in ways you'll probably never fully understand. Thanks!
