Day Before The Expo

This is going to be a busy 4 day weekend for me. First is the usual Thursday trip to the Disneyland Resort and then the remaining 3 days will be dedicated to the D23Expo.

The fins for the temporary entrance have turned into small replications of the main entrance to Disney California Adventure

To the left side of Disney California Adventure's main entrance, there is a wall that surrounds the old Guest Relations / Lost and Found / Lockers and Restroom building

Once inside Disney California Adventure

More work being done to the bridge

Looks like a big Hefty bag draped over where Engine-Ear Toys' sign used to be

Looking at Carthay Circle Theatre

Close ups of the exposure on the bridge.. Either that is original writing on the steel beam from before 2001 or very recent...

- Mickey's Fun Wheel -

Cars Land Construction

Mater's Junkyard Jamboree received a number of trees.
Look at how lush it is!

Flo's V8 Cafe coming along nicely.  Wooden fencing can be along Luigi's Flying Tires

Another structure has appeared at Mater's Junkyard Jamboree

Cozy Cone Motel

Can see some of the frame of the bridge for Radiator Springs Racers

Trees have appeared.  (The brownish tint is from Mickey's Fun Wheel gondola cage)

More trees

Some work being done on the backside of the Cars Land mountains

The silo that was next to the Mission Tortilla Factory is gone.  Guests can now see the First Aid and Baby Center

Cars Land shots from the Blue Sky Cellar / Winery patio

Doors for Radiator Springs Curios

A closer look at the wing nut topper for Flo's V8 cafe

A tree is being brought in for Mater's Junkyard Jamboree

Some frame work for Carthay Circle Theatre steeple

The trees around the perimeter of Mater's Junkyard Jamboree

A new light on the pump house building

At the bag check tents, Francis Ladybug Boogie was listed as not being in operation today.  Appears to be open to me.

Close up of Carthay Circle Theatre

Heading out and looking at the old Engine-Ear Toy's entrance

The window that looked into the shop can be seen through the bag..er..um.. tarp.

Close up of one of the fins

- Disneyland -

Plaza Pavilion with walls around it so it can be transformed into Jolly Holiday Bakery

How many times has this place been behind walls within the last 5 years?!?

The waterfalls for the Matterhorn were on

And bobsleds were being sent through

Looking at the construction for Carthay Circle Theatre and the surrounding area from the Disneyland Monorail

1..2..3..4..5.  Which ones are real and which ones are fake

Some may not even notice, but the tall eucalyptus trees have been disappearing from the Small World mall. They have been getting replaced slowly on the east side of the parade route.  Newest replacement tree is just to the left of the closest parade light tower

A new Disney Vacation Club cart can be found across from Big Thunder Mountain Railroad's exit, where the old French Fry Cart use to be located.

With the Tropical Serenade reopening at the Magic Kingdom at Walt Disney World, I wonder how many Floridian's, who are here for the D23Expo, are visiting this attraction

Once again, another look at the temporary entrance that will soon be open for Guests as they enter Disney California Adventure.  It also look like some unique lights have been installed on top of construction walls.

Along Harbor Blvd, some work being done on the backside of the mountain range of Cars Land

I can't wait for tomorrow!!!

That will conclude today's pictorial.
I hope you enjoyed it.
I really appreciate your patience and stopping by to check it out.

Until next time....

  3. Anonymous #1 - I don't quite get what you are asking. The photo sizes are 1920 x 1440. How wide are you suggesting?
