Take A Look - Mini Pictorial of Tokyo Disney Resort 2006 and 2007

With the recent earthquake that occurred in Japan on March 11, 2011,  it got me thinking again of my trips to the Tokyo Disneyland Resort back in September 2006 and April 2007

Here are some pictures from those two trips.

September 2006 -

First half of the trip was spent at the Ambassador Hotel. This is the view that my friend and I had.

For the second half of the stay at the Resort, it was spent at the Mira Costa Hotel. If you look at the blue shield banner on the left, the one long vertical window right above it was our room. It was facing the Aquasphere. And I got to admit that I think I would always go for that view over and window view of Tokyo Disney Sea.

The main advantage of staying at the Mira Costa was so we can get to the Tower of Terror attraction on its official opening day.

Once we were let in through the hotel entrance, we booked it towards Tower of Terror.  We decided to get a fast pass for the attraction and then play it by ear on what we were going to do next.

The end of the line to get a Fast Pass stretched all the way to Cape Cod

We are getting closer!

Looking back at the line to get a Fast Pass and it is just a sea of people

We are almost there at the distribution center and this is what the wait and return times look like!

Finally! And you know what... the queue that we just stood in only took about 20 minutes.

Cinderella Castle was getting a new paint job.  Gone will be the white spires and replaced with a soft tan color

April 2007 -

Stitch was the theme this year (apparently it was also done the same time last year) and I couldn't have been happier!

Looking back towards the entrance of Tokyo Disneyland's World Bazar

Lilo and Stitch Huli Huli Ohana Bash parade

I loved this parade

The theme was to "Find Stitch". Small Stitch's would be hidden throughout the park, trying to "hide"

Over at Tokyo Disney Sea, Springtime Carnival was taking place

A lot has taken shape at the Tokyo Disneyland Hotel

Just like the first time, the first half was spent at the Ambassador Hotel while the second half was spent at the Mira Costa Hotel.  This time the view was different. Overlooking the pool and the Venetian Gondola loading area

The following are random shots between the two visits -

Prince Eric and Max greeting Guests at the Mermaid Lagoon

The last day of trip was back at Tokyo Disneyland for the reopening of Space Mountain. This is the line just to get a fast pass, stretching along their Grand Circuit Raceway and reaching almost to the Star Jets.

For a short time, it started to rain a bit.  And one Tokyo Disneyland Fantasyland Cast Member is helping a Guests out of the rain

One of my favorite rides at Tokyo Disneyland, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad

I can't believe how much time has passed since my last visit to the Tokyo Disneyland Resort. I had such a great time that I plan on returning in the near future.

Thank you for taking the time to visit

Until next time...
